I was disappointed with both the packaging and the ingredients. The cans are very flimsy and arrived damaged. Three were bent and popped open, six were bent but still sealed, and only three arrived in good condition. Because this is wet food, that was a huge safety concern. My dog did enjoy the loaf when I froze it and used it in a food puzzle, and you could see whole peas in the food. However, for a product labeled Beef & Peas, chicken and chicken broth are the first ingredients, with beef not listed until the fifth ingredient. It also contains vague meat by-products rather than clearly identified proteins, which makes the quality and sourcing unclear. The inclusion of carrageenan and guar gum as thickeners is another downside, as these additives provide no nutritional value and are commonly associated with digestive irritation in wet foods. This may work as an occasional topper or puzzle treat, but between the damaged cans and ingredient quality, this is not something I would choose to purchase for my dogs.

Beneful "Loaf Beef" canned dog food contains real liver -- which is the best protein source you can feed your dog! The cans arrive safely packed in a 12-pack crate. The food smelled irresistible to my dog, because as soon as I opened the first can, Penny started licking it. She didn't wait for me to put it on her plate! When I did finally dish it out, I could visibly see the beef chunks and vegetables in it. The can size is perfect. One can is a complete serving for my Pembroke Welsh Corgi (medium-size dog). So, if you want food that is easy-to-serve, this is it. Plus, these cans are ideal for traveling with your dog. Just pop open a can with pull tab, and you're done -- no can opener needed! On a personal note, my 13-year old dog does not like drinking a lot of water and I often worry about her becoming dehydrated. With Beneful canned dog food, I don't fret, because their moist beef loaf does not require large amounts of water to digest -- the way kibble does! My dog loves the taste. I love the convenience. We both highly recommend Beneful Loaf Beef with Peas!

These individual small cans are great for convenience and for tricking your pups into taking meds. These when I got them and opened them seemed like the coloring was off. I don’t give my girls canned food often at all but it didn’t seem right. They didn’t smell bad but maybe that’s just how they are. I gave them a 4 star because all of my girls really liked them and one of my dogs is very picky.

Beneful loaf style with beef and peas has no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. While beef is the 4th ingredient on the list, the first 3 ingredients are all real ingredients including chicken, chicken broth, and liver. It also has several vitamins and minerals in it. Our dog liked the loaf style and it refrigerated well as we only needed half a can per serving for her. Our dog liked the dinner serving from the fridge just fine as well. One can does replace about 1/2 cup of dry food per the feeding recommendations. Overall, the quality of the ingredients is high and the serving size is great. Our dog is not the pickiest eater and she certainly enjoyed this!

The Beneful canned loaf dog food appealed to my senior dog who is quite picky! We have tried various canned products to entice our Cooper to enjoy his kibble, this product appealed to him and he leaves an empty bowl. Beneful loaf beef and peas had a good aroma and was easy to mix in his kibble & he anxiously waited for me to put the bowl down for him to eat! Will continue to use Beneful loaf for my Cooper!!

Both of my Labs love this! With sensitive stomachs I was apprehensive about giving them anything but dry food. I mixed the beef & peas into their regular food and they had no issues. In fact, they now look forward to it! This particular “loaf” style with no gravy is simple to mix in and actually looks palatable. I would 100% recommend to anyone with sensitive dog tummies.
