The manufacturer recommends the Gamebird Layer for pheasants, quail, turkeys and other gamebirds and for chickens, they recommend Purina Layena products for laying hens..

Purina Game Bird 30% protein feed is packed with all the nutrients that specific game birds need in their diet. I like the size of the crumbles of the feed and the bird's really seem to like it too. I have what I like to call "volunteer" wild game birds. They just showed up on my property back in the fall and they decided to stay. So, I make sure they get feed and water. They really seem to be thriving on this feed.

The Purina game bird 30% protein grower is amazing food for little game birds. It's the perfect size for turkeys, ducks, quails, chickens and whatever small birds you are raising. It has a lovely uniform size and a pleasant odor. I like that for the colder months you could add a little hot water and make the little fledglings a porridge. Purina foods are high grade and very digestible. The bag is very sturdy. It comes in a 50 lb size so this is convenient if you're feeding a lot of chicks. I always trust all Purina foods and this is no exception.
