I recently tried Purina Mini Horse and Pony Feed for my mini horse and mini donkey. I was excited to find a feed specifically formulated for minis as I know they have different nutritional needs compared to horses. And, because both of my minis are in their 20s and have age related dental issues, I really liked that this feed is composed of small pellets that soften easily when soaked in water. I also appreciate that it has specific feeding instructions tailored to mini animals based on their weight and energy requirements…so, no guesswork trying to figure out the mini amount of a normal horse feed! My two are each getting about a pound a day. They really seem to enjoy it and I’m happy knowing they’re getting the vitamins and minerals they need to be healthy! I’d definitely recommend Purina Mini Horse and Pony feed if you have minis!

This grain has been excellent for my aging pony! My pony is on a dry lot but still need the vitamins and minerals grain has to offer and this grain is fantastic! I appreciate the controlled sugar and starch in this grain and she can get overweight easily! My pony can also get upset sometimes when other horses come and go; this grain has the gastric support the helps calm her stomach! Great all around pony grain when you have to watch what your feeding your little horses!

I have a mini horse and mini donkey. They are coming into winter after being on grass this summer a little chubbier than I like. I was concerned about weight gain adding grain. Our paint mare has grain in the morning and my littles are both getting their own now with vitamins and minerals they need and not feeling left out. So far they are doing great. I feel this feed perfect for them.

I am very happy with Purina’s Miniature Horse and Pony Feed, I am currently feeding my miniature and standard donkeys as well as my full size mules this feed, they have good body condition and they like the taste and texture. The feed is lower in starches than some of the other commercially prepared feed, which is important! I am very happy with this feed.

Purina Miniature Horse feed gets 5 stars from my mini and Shetland. Purina has always been a trusted brand and doesn’t disappoint with this product. My babies love it! There is no wasted feed, all pellets are consumed and digested properly. It seems to be very palatable as neither of my ponies rejected it, and if I set the feed bucket down my barn cat will jump right on it and eat it also.
