We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily.
MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN Although you’'ll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog’s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you’re feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.
Contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms.
Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.
For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.
Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time.
Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days.
Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days.
Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days.
Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

My rescue pup has really leaned in to being catered to! I love that he has this level of comfort and expectation from me, but it is both pricey and frustrating to have him turn up his snout at anything I buy. I could not seem to find food that he likes…until Purina ProPlan Edge! He loves it!! And- most importantly, it is the quality I expect. This is the only food that he jumps around in anticipation of eating! I wish I could have captured his little paws tippy tapping around as I got PurinaProPlan out of the cabinet! Not only adorable but incredibly reassuring! Finally! A food that he deems fitting!! (I really think it’s those shredded pieces !)

Finding a food that actually works for a sensitive stomach can be such a relief, and the Purina Pro Plan AdvantEDGE Digestive Support Plus Salmon & Oat Meal has been a total game-changer for Peanut. Since switching, his digestion has noticeably improved, and we no longer have to deal with the constant upset stomachs or allergies. The combination of real salmon and gentle oat meal seems to be the perfect "safe" protein for him, and the added probiotics have made a huge difference in his overall energy and coat health. It’s incredibly reassuring to finally find a kibble that truly agrees with his system.
Good Food for Those Sensitive Stomachs

One of my dogs has always had a sensitive stomach since she was a puppy so it's tough finding food that won't bother her GI tract. The vet initially put her on ProPlan Sensitive Stomach Lamb and Oat. I decided to try Purina Pro Plan AdvantEDGE Digestive Support Plus Salmon & Oat to give her some variety. She seems to tolerate this formula well. Great that it has antioxidants as well. Plus, it's made in the USA.
English bulldog does great on this.

My English bulldog is allergic to life essentially. He has been on more food than I can count. Everything high end name brand that has claimed to be sensitive skin and stomach. He did amazing on zignature but I don't like to feed grain free more then a couple months at a time. Hills science diet perfect digestion he had great stool quality but started to get skin allergies from it. So I decided to try this food. So far it has been amazing. His stools are solid and no skin issues at all. I do put Purina pro plan skin and stomach wet food on top of this. He doesn't care for just dry food. So if your on the fence try this. Especially if you have a sensitive stomach dog and have failed at almost every other type of dog food.
Great so far

1.5 weeks ago I switched my terrier who gets chronic ear infections over to this. He was on Fromm whitefish and trout which he ate but his stools were terrible still after bag 6 which I thought was ample amount of time. I try to keep his ingredients limited to help with the ear infections and so far it has been good! His stool is looking better already and hoping to get 1 or 2 lbs trimmed off him. And to make my life easier, my border collie was on pro plan sensitive skin and stomach salmon and rice and it has been an easy switch for her too. If something changes I will update my review. But both gobble it up and nice to have both on the same kibble.
Easy to transition and my dogs love it!

I’m really impressed with this food. Both of my dogs are picky eaters but this has been a big hit so far. They make sure to get every bite. I also like that it doesn’t have a strong “fishy” smell like other brands that have salmon. I was able to easily transition without any stomach issues. I’ve done a lot of personal research on dog foods and Purina ProPlan seems to always come up as the best for quality and providing appropriate nutritional needs. This will definitely be our number one choice moving forward.

I switched my dog to Purina Pro Plan AdvantEDGE Digestive Support Plus Salmon & Oat Meal, and it’s been a great choice. Her digestion improved quickly, stools are more consistent, and she loves the taste. No upset stomach or gas, and her coat looks great too. A little on the pricey side but I’ll definitely keep buying this food.
My seniors love it!
My "old kids" have been on really good senior food for awhile. At 11 and 12 I feel its important to try to protect their health when i can. But they're not stupid!
My "old kids" have been on really good senior food for awhile. At 11 and 12 I feel its important to try to protect their health when i can. But they're not stupid! I try to mix what theyre used to, with anything new, to prevent any gastric upset, and that’s what I did. As soon as I cut the bag open, they were on alert. I mixed the old with the new, then filled their dinner bowls...and they picked out this new food for eating! Thats happened several times. They love this high energy meal!

My mom pin chi gets belly aches pretty frequently and has not had one since on this food. And actually she is very picky and seems to like it. My two boxers like it too so i give them a little for taste. All my dogs are on purina lamb and rice and this would be a good alternative. It’s a medium to small size kibble so it can be used for many different breeds

My dogs like it. I like that it's good for their digestion & skin with salmon for protein. My one dog is usually picky so he'll sniff it then walk away, but he'll go back to it & eat it eventually. I wish he was more excited to eat it so I typically mix it with another dry food for him.
