My pup has a grade 3 heart murmur and mitral valve prolapse and my vet recommended this rx diet to prevent heart disease and hopefully also prevent becoming symptomatic. My pup Rosa loves this food, which is great! It’s worth the investment if it will help extend her life!
My dog has a sensitive stomach so I add a small amount of this kibble (maybe 15-20 Pieces) to have him slowly get use to it. However this gives him gas, and makes him poop more often, and a little soft. Wish I could return it.
My dog loves this food. Inadvertently been feeling her Hills Metabolic Mobility for years and she didn’t like it. I moistened it, put it in the microwave, added grated cheese, etc. just to get her to eat it. I put this kibble in her bowl and she eats it up. The small kibble make it easy for her as she has lost a lot of teeth. The best part is that the vet says it’s great for her heart failure.
My dog was diagnosed with a heart condition, so it was recommended that her diet be changed to a food geared towards cardiac care. Previously, she ate pro plan sensitive skin and stomach. I figured this would be the closest thing but she hated it. I wasn't sure if that was just how it had to be since she requires a low sodium diet, I thought maybe all appropriate food options would no longer appeal to her. I decided to order royal canin about a week ago, and she loves it, maybe more so than her original food. This kibble must be extremely bland or something.
I have been declined for the medication my dogs NEEDS. So may have to find company where I can get all my needs for my pets.
My dog's heart disease progressed, so I started looking into veterinary diets that could help support his heart function. My dog loves his new food! He lacks the bowl clean everytime.
No problem getting her to eat this formula
My pup HATES the Royal Canin so we switched to this one recently. I love that it’s super small kibble (even smaller than my other pup’s purina pro small breed). Doesn’t have the god awful fishy smell either.
One of my babies has to be on a special cardia diet, so that means they all have to be. Thankfully they all like it
My dog has to eat this everyday as he is 10 years old and this keeps his heart murmur under control. I wish they had different flavors but I just add some peeled apple, sweet potatoes, frozen green beans or peas. He has been on it for awhile and he is just fine. Good product and you can trust Purina!
