Our now-11-month lab mix puppy has tested positive for giardia on and off since he was ~3 months old, which resulted in stools that were loose more often than not. After our vet prescribed this kibble at ~8 months, his stools firmed up and his body composition is ideal. We feed him protein-rich treats (freeze dried beef liver, etc) and he gets one packet of probiotics in the morning, and he's doing great. Apparently the fiber content may also aid him in kicking the giardia permanently as he gets older (fingers crossed). Given the high cost of this kibble, I do hope we can eventually switch him to other food, but I'm in no rush.
My fur baby has colitis and after sleepless nights getting up multiple times with her, my vet recommended Purina Pro Plan Veterinarian Diet Gastroenteric Fiber Balance food and it has solved the problem. Would I rather she didn't have colitis and I didn't have to pay the big bucks for a prescription diet; of course, but since she does, this food seems to be the magic trick. Talk to your vet about it.
for 3 years and I mean 3 years, my English Cocker Spaniel has been suffering with sever watery bowl movements. Doctors... so many Doctors and test... so many tests, until one day this new doctor suggested this product just as we were making an appointment for a colonoscopy. WOW!!! no colonoscopy for my little girl, what a life savior! It Works.
Our three Yorkies love this food. Two of them have had gastroenteritis, pancreatitis and gastrointestinal bleeding. They have been eating this food for a short time but they love it and they poop very well. I hope they continue like this...
They left the package in the back door of my resident out in the open for anyone to pick it up
The service at Chewy is unsurpassed. Good prices and quick, quick service. I usually prefer supporting local merchants but Chewy is so good, I have to take my hat off to them.
No more diarrhea! This food is amazing! This was suggested by our vet for a dog with occasional diarrhea and it works!
5 year old Ridgeback has had very soft stools whole life. We have tried many foods, probiotics, etc. we give him half cup of this food twice a day and problem solved.
So far my pet has shown improvement in her staminia, and alertness.her vet couldn't have chosen a better brand.
My dog has IBD and is super picky about food. She eats it consistently which is a win win and no major flare ups since we switched her to this food.
