Food has been great over the last 8 months, however all of a sudden dog got really sick after eating it this month. Now refuses to eat any of it. Very soft stool is my only real complaint, been soft and yellow since starting on it
My 14 year old mutt came to have kidney disease. Her blood work was all over the place. We got her started on some meds and a kidney diet. We tried a handful of different brands of kidney diet, she would eat it for a week or 2 and then turn her nose. This diet was different. She looooves it. She's been on it for a few months now and hasn't gotten tired of it. The use of this food and her medications has also helped combat her high kidney levels. We checked her blood last week and her levels are all normal now! Took a few months but we have finally found the keys to regulate her. I would highly recommend this to anyone whose dog is being picky with what kidney diet they'll eat. Purina really did something with this one!
Your Representative was awesome! The Vet gave me more choices for Maci Mae! Still having a difficult time her eating the special food! She is a Senior Pup and her mind is made UP!!
So far Mira is tolerating the diet well after we weaned her onto it. We will find out in two weeks if it is helping her renal function. Arrival of the product was quick and easy.
My elderly dog was switched to three Dog Food and really likes it. Huge change from eating same food for 13 years. Hope it helps with his kidneys.
My dog's blood work came back with elevated kidney function. We put him on this and it was in normal range when we took him back three months later. Thankfully, he does eat it. He is a picky eater too. He is a larger dog so the size of the food is fine for him.
This was the first time I ordered from chewy. I was very pleased at how quickly I received my order. Unfortundately it will be a while before I order again as we need to put my precious fur baby down due to kidney failure. We hope to get another dog in the spring.
Our 16-year-old pound puppy chihuahua pekingese spaniel mix was wasting away to nothing. He wouldn't eat anything and threw up what he did eat. This food has changed all of that! He loves the kibble (it took a couple of days). He is gaining weight and has his spunk back. I'd highly recommend it!
My dog was diagnosed with Stage 1 kidney disease 6 months ago and the vet prescribed Purina Pro Plan NF. After 6 months my dog's numbers have gone down so the food seems to be helping!
Our almost 14 year old terrier mix was diagnosed with kidney disease last year. We have been feeding hill's this entire time due to it being easily found in pet stores near us. My dog, who was never picky, more often than not refused to eat it. I mixed it with the wet food, I hand fed him, I tried every trick in the book to make meal times easier. I was just told by our vet that kidney diets are not tasty in general and that this was normal. I decided to try NF because our other dogs are on regular pro plan and our old man loved it when he was able to eat it. I put no more than 6 or so pieces of the NF in with the hill's for the first time and he picked them out first! Once it was all hill's left, he reluctantly ate that but didn't even finish all of it. He kept sniffing the new bag of NF and wanting more. I might just have to skip the transition and give him straight NF soon because he's done with hill's. Thank you Pro Plan for making a diet food that is palatable!
