The best part about this is the surprise. I can spin the handle, get my boy excited for it, then its hidden. He has learned to pull out the feathers and ribbons, and hiding treats in there makes play time even better enrichment. He loves the noise too. My girl is afraid of it (Shes a little fraidy cat)

Maybe for a kitten.

This toy is cute but requires human and cat interaction to make it work. The toy is similar to a party popper if you will, and you shoot out the confetti, only in this case its strings and feathers. It’s a bit short so not like a string chaser toy and requires you to be close to the cat to interact. My cats don’t like the sound it makes and would much rather just play with the stings, but you have to hold it and play, which is fine, but this isn’t something that would be in the toy box for everyday use or play on their own, it requires a human to “activate” and cats lost interest within a few minutes. It’s a cute toy and the thought behind it was cool, but I don’t recommend it and would pass for something the cats could enjoy 24/7 without supervision.

I think the ingenuity of this cat toy is good, but my cats do not care for the clicking noise on the push rod that has these revets to make this noise. My cats normally like the paper towel roll with a small rod toy pushing through it, but there is no noise with that. The construction of the Quirky Kitty Perk is made very well.
