Feeding Instructions
Rabbit Hole Hay Ultra Premium Alfalfa should be offered to young pets under six months, nursing mothers, or pets needing to gain weight. It can be mixed with grass hay to balance the higher protein and calcium content. Always provide fresh water and consult your vet about the appropriate amount for your pet’s specific dietary needs.
To introduce Rabbit Hole Hay Ultra Premium Alfalfa into your pet's diet, begin by mixing a small amount with their current hay. Gradually increase the proportion of alfalfa over the course of a week to allow your pet's digestive system to adjust. This gradual transition helps minimize any digestive discomfort and enhances acceptance of the new hay.

Very poor quality hay
Upon opening, was so disappointed to see a bag of dried out twigs & small green dried out bits of hay. This was not a "Ultra Premium" product! Rabbit would not eat

Maybe not for picky eaters?
I bought this hay for my Rex Domino but he wouldn't touch it. It smelled fresh & sweet so not really sure why he didn't like it. I gave it to my daughter who happened
I bought this hay for my Rex Domino but he wouldn't touch it. It smelled fresh & sweet so not really sure why he didn't like it. I gave it to my daughter who happened to have a nursing foster rabbit & her's seemed to LOVE it! My daughter even asked me how she could go about getting more! She did say she had to feed it in the ceramic bowl so her bun could eat all of it since there were a LOT of little pieces but I know it didn't last long!
Alfalfa so fresh and sweet
Bought loose alfalfa for the first time from Rabbit Hole Hay. So incredibly different than the standard compressed blocks. Smells fresh and sweet, not like old
Bought loose alfalfa for the first time from Rabbit Hole Hay. So incredibly different than the standard compressed blocks. Smells fresh and sweet, not like old dust. Our chinchillas go nuts over it, and are less "picky" with it than with the timothy hay that they get more of.
Wonderful Hay
My little rabbit loves this hay. He spends hours munching and munching.
