I recently tried the Rabbit Hole Hay Ultra Premium Paper Pellets in my chinchilla's pen. I was looking for a new bedding option that would be highly absorbent, and this product certainly delivered on that front. The pellets did an excellent job of absorbing moisture and controlling odors, which is a huge plus for maintaining a clean and fresh-smelling habitat. I was impressed with how well they held up, and it made cleaning the cage much easier. However, the main issue I ran into was my chinchilla's reaction to them. My chinchilla did not seem to like the texture of the pellets at all and was reluctant to use the area where they were placed. While the absorbency was great for me, the most important thing is that my pet is comfortable, and these pellets unfortunately didn't meet his approval. Overall, the product is very effective at what it's designed to do—absorb moisture. But based on my chinchilla's preference, it may not be the right fit for all pets.

I was struck by the clean look of it, nice white solid pellets. No artificial colors or odors. I used it as substrate for Higgs' litter box and kept taking some out because I realized I wasn't going to need as much as the less solid, more crumbly paper litters. It absorbed urine well and kept its integrity. Despite the appreciated lack of perfumes it managed odor well. Higgs approved.

When he's in the litter box, I am always concerned about my rabbit eating bits of newspaper because of the ink, so the Rabbit Hole Hay Ultra Premium Paper Pellet Bedding is a great product as it is all natural with no bleach or chemicals. It is so absorbent that I can hardly tell he has even used the litter box, plus there is no urine odor at all! The pellets are also soft under his paws.

I use pellet bedding for my guinea pigs litter area and this one does a pretty good job with absorbing liquid and keeping odor down. It’s soft too and my guinea pigs like to nestle in it while munching on their hay. It’s not as odor controlling as another pellet litter I have used before but it still does rank above most I’ve tried in the past.

Ive struggled to find a bedding and litterbox material that wont stick to my lionhead rabbit's fur for months. Im constantly brushing her out or picking up trails of wood shavings in the house as she goes in and out of her coop. This product is absorbent, has a light neutral scent, is easy to scoop and doesnt stick to her fur! We will be using this instead of woodshavings moving forward!
