My 18-year-old Maltese has been going through some tough times lately. Her appetite has been low and she has kidney & liver disease. Trying to find something that she would eat has been quite a challenge. We saw this flavor booster and thought it would be neat to try out to see if it can entice her. We only needed to sprinkle a very small amount on top of her food and she went crazy for it. She had a decent meal after a very long time of struggling to eat. The smell is very strong for the freeze dried beef liver and the ingredient is only beef liver, no other additives. I feel comfortable giving her this knowing that I'm not giving her other additives and preservatives with it that could worsen her condition. Everyday after the intial try is hit or miss but it does help her and there to help her eat.

I sprinkled the Boost Freeze-Dried Beef Liver food topper on my dogs dinner. They both smelled it 1st, and then chowed down! It’s a hit, and I’m happy for the healthy ingredients. I was able to sprinkle quite a bit on their food, and after using it 3 times for both dogs (80 lb Staffordshire Terriers), it hardly appears any is gone from the container.

Scout only ears human food and I am constantly looking for ways to get him used to dog food. This is the best he's done with any product in the 18 months since I rescued him. I had been crushing freeze dried beef lung treats to get him to eat but after a while, the novelty wore off. I will hopefully have better luck with this product.
