My dog loves these chews! They keep him occupied for a very long time instead of getting instantly devoured, but they’re not so hard that I worry he’s going to hurt

My dog loves these chews! They keep him occupied for a very long time instead of getting instantly devoured, but they’re not so hard that I worry he’s going to hurt himself chewing on them or get bored. I was somewhat confused by the packaging, as the actual type of chew it is isn’t a prominent part of the design. The information is included and it didn’t take me long to find, I just find it odd to emphasize “natural and healthy pet chews” more than “Himalayan yak chews.” Overall though, my dog loved them, and that’s what’s really important to me.

The chews are very dense and hard, which makes them ideal for heavy chewers. They last a lot longer than most treats and help with boredom and dental health. I will say they’re best for dogs who are really motivated to chew, if your dog isn’t super into gnawing, they might lose interest since it takes work to break these down. One tip: when the chew gets too small (choking hazard), you can microwave the end piece for about 30 seconds and it puffs up into a crunchy treat, that is my dog’s favorite part. Only downside? They’re not cheap. But considering how long they last and how clean the ingredients are, I think it’s worth the price.

While my Corgis were very interested in getting the chews, they seemed to be too hard for them to chew. My two year old tried for about 10 minutes to chew on it

I was super surprised how well these went over for my bigger dogs. Originally I’d gotten them for my smaller guy but these were a hit with the whole pack. Don’t be deceived by their size. They LAST. My boys are big time chewers and these bought me more peace and quiet than I could have ever dreamed. USA made, natural and engaging for a wide range of pups. Keep an eye on them when they’ve got them chewed down to nubs but otherwise, let em chew and make dinner without an audience under foot!

If your dog doesn’t chew but swallows, please watch him or her closely. My Frenchie swallowed it whole. He is fine but no more for him. I do recommend them for dogs who like to chew.
