Our little guy is a city dog, so lots of walking on rough pavement, roads and hot/cold terrain. This balm not only keeps his paws smooth and soft, but also has moisturized his nose beautifully when it’s gotten a bit dry. It’s also healed some winter cracking/scabbing that I noticed on the corner of his mouth. There’s a few paws prints on our floors after applying the balm, but no greasy stains on the couch, rugs or sheets. I would say it’s not a messy product at all and very easy to apply.

Unlike other balms I’ve used for my dogs, this one has a solid consistency, so warming it up with your fingers before applying makes it easier to use. It feels and applies like a wax, and my dogs didn’t seem to mind it—they licked their paws as they normally do after balm application. I appreciate that the ingredients are safe for them if ingested. However, the strong floral fragrance was a downside for me, as I’m sensitive to scents. Additionally, this product is not vegan, and I couldn't find any information confirming the company’s cruelty-free status. If you're looking for a vegan, cruelty-free, and fragrance-free option, this may not be the best choice. That said, it does what it’s designed to do and seems to provide good paw protection.

I used this on my 3.5 year old Border Collie, Booker. He's very sensitive about his paws being touched, especially since he got a thorn in one of them and we had to remove it. He's a bit of a drama queen. But he tolerated the balm. It smells nice. Not too strong or perfumey. It has a slight coconut scent. It's a bit greasy, but I didn't notice it leaving stains on any bed sheets or on the couch. I did notice it made his rough paws significantly softer, and if used regularly, I'm sure it would make a big difference. Since Booker is hesitant about it, we're trying to ease him into it, so we haven't used it every day. But I'm pleased with the results thus far.

The product itself definitely made their noses look smoother and less cracked. The weather had been a little rough and I had been using Snout Soother or Mushers Wax. This did as good a job as either of those for the chapping. However, it seemed to make their paws a bit more slickery in the house. In the future, I will make sure to not treat their paws until they are going outside.

I was impressed by the consistency and texture of Raw Paws Soothing Protective Paw Wax. The product applied smoothly, and I believe that the dogs, once they settled down, enjoyed the experience. I am thrilled with the results! The balm left their paws smooth and soft, and it has a very pleasant aroma. I highly recommend this product for anyone facing similar issues with their pets.

This balm was amazing. It goes on smooth and when applied regularly keeps my dogs nose and paws smooth , soft and protected. The can was easy to handle and the balm silky smooth and easy to apply. My dog seemed to enjoy it when I massaged the balm into his paws. I recommend this product for dogs that spend extended periods of time outside and may have sensitive skin.

After putting it on the paws my dogs did not overly kick at their paws which I was concerned about. I also placed it on a spot on the top of the paw where my dog had licked made it irritated. It helped keep her from licking it while it healed.
