It worked great 4 my horse

She had a bad case of it. Started the Rebalance within 2 weeks of 1st noticing the symptoms. No horse is going to like how it tastes so makes it hard each time you

She had a bad case of it. Started the Rebalance within 2 weeks of 1st noticing the symptoms. No horse is going to like how it tastes so makes it hard each time you give it to them but if you love your horse this is a minor detail. You continue to give it everyday directly into their mouth & hold their mouth up after. I would wrap the lead rope around her nose at the same time so she could not spit it out. Sometimes she won & I would just do it again. I had to put it in 2 smaller syringes because my hands could not work the size of the syringe dose you need. I put her in a stall for a hour before I gave it and for an hour after I gave it. No food hay grass till after that. Everyday for over 90 days. It was hard work for me but she was worth it. The medicine started working at about week 2 then giving it was even harder because she felt better. She has been epm free for almost 4 years. I was able to ride her again after the 90+ days. She was 25 yrs old at the time so she had slowed a little already with age. She is almost 30 & I can still ride her for a few hours. Anyway I followed the directions exactly and did not miss a day & it worked and i recommend it.

The price is ridiculous!

These same ingredients are used to treat parasitic infections that a third of the world at any given time has. Given those stats and the associated numbers of animals

These same ingredients are used to treat parasitic infections that a third of the world at any given time has. Given those stats and the associated numbers of animals being treated the cost is absolutely outrageous. Especially when these ingredients are used as an anti malaria treatment in 3rd world countries. Do better! Humans and animals deserve better than to be sacrificed for greed.

Jury still out

My horse does not like this product and tends to spit at least some of it out every day. I don't know how important it is for the horse not to eat + / - an hour

My horse does not like this product and tends to spit at least some of it out every day. I don't know how important it is for the horse not to eat + / - an hour of taking this, but that is not feasible in my boarding situation, so we aren't allowing grain within an hour. Also, my vet recommended this for a month, but the bottle says it's usually given for 90-120 days.

it may be worth a try, but results vary considerably.

I treated my mare for two months with rebalance and ended up switching to another medication. She didn't have sever clinical symptoms of EPM and believe I caught

I treated my mare for two months with rebalance and ended up switching to another medication. She didn't have sever clinical symptoms of EPM and believe I caught it early. There are not a whole lot of choices for medications. I don't think my horse responded very well to this medication. It has been a little over a year and she began showing clinical symptoms again, just this past month and I have resumed tx. However, I don't think this has slowed the progression of the disease.
