Size

To get the most accurate size harness for your pet, measure the girth of their chest, around the widest part of your dog's torso right behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the cloth tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there's enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pet's chest for comfort.

Bucklebone Collars and Harnesses

Bucklebone Collars and Harnesses

Every Red Dingo collar and harness features the original Bucklebone clasp. This bone-shaped closure is one of the strongest side-release buckles in the pet industry. It's designed to keep your dog safe by your side no matter where you travel. The D-ring secures any leash and is fully welded from steel for maximum strength. With tons of colors and designs to choose from, there's a Red Dingo collar or harness for every unique personality.

Strong, Adaptable Leads

Some outings require a long leash for more freedom. For others—like vet trips—you want a shorter lead for more control. Red Dingo's versatile dog leads can be adjusted to custom lengths from 3.5 to 6 feet, so you won't have to keep up with multiple leashes. These reliable leads are made to last and come in a range of classic colors.

Fade-Resistant Material

Fade-Resistant Material

Red Dingo uses premium nylon webbing that's woven from fine yarn for a softer feel. The edges are super dense to help resist fraying and surface wear. This durable material exceeds ISO standards for UV color fastness and washing, which means it's less likely to fade over time after washing or being exposed to sunlight.

Designed for Comfort

A good walk starts with comfort—for both you and your dog. Red Dingo's harnesses and collars are available in a variety of sizes, plus they're fully adjustable to fit dogs of every size. The webbing is cut to form a seamless angle of 20 degrees to reduce chafing and skin irritation. All leads are easy to grip with a soft, padded handle for extra comfort.

    Disappointed

    By on

Main back strap doesn’t adjust. This constricts my dog’s shoulders - limiting his ability to run, play, jump, etc. Medium is more like a small. I thought the harness would go down to the midway point of his back but it barely let’s his chest and arms breathe, even with multiple adjustments. Overpriced and not true to size or photo representation.

    EXTREMELY SMALL!!!

    By on

The other reviews are right. This harness runs extremely small and although it seems very well made, it is very difficult to adjust. The straps are hard to slide through the buckles. My dog's measurements are 18" neck and 24" chest so a medium should have fit. It did not come close to making that chest measurement although I could not completely let out one side as the strap would not feed through the buckle. Even if I could have let it out fully, it would still have been too small. There might be a conversion error - the harness is made in China and the size on the tag states it is a 20 mm, no reference to small, medium, large etc. 20 mm is less than one inch so perhaps this refers to The other reviews are right. Nice fit due to multiple adjustments

    By on

Fits my 6 month old cavalier puppy very nicely thanks to multiple adjustments areas. It’s also WAY easier for me to put on her due to the multiple snap system. Putting on her old Puppia harness over her head use to be like battling a rabid wild animal! She doesn’t mind this new one at all! Buy it!

    demensions incorrect

    By on

Tag clearly states that strap around body is 18-26 inches. It maxes out at 18. Poor quality control at production.

    Very tasty harness

    By on

I’ve had this harness for about a year and use it regularly. Murphy is a 14 pound wired hair doxie mix and most harnesses fit weird. This one fit perfectly until 1 night I awoke to a crunchy noise. Turns out the harness was quite tasty also. Murphy chewed off the little bone clasps. My mistake for not hanging it up before bed. So I’ll be ordering another one and maybe the blue one also.

    Not for sighthounds

    By on

Overall, this harness is very nice but it just didn’t work for my breed of dog. I was hoping because the straps are so thick that it wouldn’t move and shift around that much on my whippets body. However, that’s not the case. Also, i ordered the appropriate size listed but it still seems to be slightly big. I would recommend this harness for more stocky thick dogs and not for skinny ones like mine.

    Nice harness, watch size

    By on

Well made sturdy harness. Nice that the two bone-latches are on the back end, so no "step-thru" needed when "dressing" my dog - slip it over his head, and snap, snap, done. Took just a little bit of work to adjust it properly. He is a 52# Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog (taller and leaner than an Australian Cattle Dog), although he's a bit on the heavy side for the breed. I bought a large based on other reviews, and yes, I also think it would run small for breeds generally considered large like German Shepherd, Dobie, Rottie, big chested Bully breeds.

    Easy to put on

"Bear" doesn't fight me to put it on like he did with the harness/vest type.
