This item is slightly smaller in diameter than a US nickel. My cat's name is friese so the design and size were a perfect match. I've read other reviews about the engraving being too small, but I disagree. I think the engraving is perfectly legible. I have other pet tags with smaller engravings that I'm equally satisfied with. I think - if the style and the size fit your pet, go for it! The quality feels good. It's a sturdy tag and as long as it never gets lost, it will last the lifetime of my pet. Happy customer.

The medium tag seems sturdy and is easily legible in spite of the small letters. The only surprise was that the tag is a little thicker and heavier than expected,

The medium tag seems sturdy and is easily legible in spite of the small letters. The only surprise was that the tag is a little thicker and heavier than expected, but it doesn't weigh down our dog's collar, so it's not an issue. Would definitely recommend for the quality material and engraving!
