When I first received this food, I was very excited by it. My now 7 month old Keeshond puppy has been going through a picky phase for several weeks now and it has been very stressful. When I opened the bag, she ran over and "wuffed", ready to try whatever was creating the delicious aroma. I gave her maybe a tablespoon's worth by had and she loved, always coming back for more. I decided to save the rest for later. To my astonishment, the next time I offered it to her, she wouldn't touch it. I'm not sure if because the novelty had worn off or because it was no longer perfectly fresh. Or another of the millions of unknown reasons why. I was certainly disappointed, I thought that her picky phase was finally going to be in the rear view. I liked that this food could be used as a whole meal or as a topper, made from 93% real chicken, chicken hearts, and chicken liver. It seems unfair to rate it 1 star or 5 stars, since there's really no telling why my puppy had this reaction, so I settled on the middle. But I will say, maybe have a backup way to store it, other than the bag it comes in. Even I could tell there was a decrease in freshness the second time I offered it to her.

Healthy & delicious!

I have a 7 month old, 45 pound boxer puppy with whom I am very selective for when it comes to her food. I have been feeding this Red Barn air dried puppy food daily (for lunch) for the past two weeks. The ingredients very much pass my test. There are no artificial preservatives or unhealthy and unnecessary “fillers”, as well as the first three ingredients being chicken and chicken organs which is phenomenal. My puppy has really enjoyed this food and I have enjoyed feeding it to her. She never leaves a crumb and licks the bowl clean after each time. I will say the consistency of this kibble causes the nuggets to crumble very easily. Many scoops I get have a good amount of crumbs, however this doesn’t affect how much my puppy likes it. Overall I am highly impressed with this food and am excited to keep this in our food lineup!

I recently tried this air-dried dog food for my 3-pound, 6 month old chihuahua puppy, and I am happy with the results. At first, Benny was a bit hesitant to try it out and he avoided it, but after a few bites, he quickly fell in love with it. I started off mixing it with his original food but he only picks out these pieces so we quickly transitioned without any digestive issues whatsoever. He gets so excited every time it's time to eat. The food itself is made from high-quality ingredients, which gives me peace of mind knowing he is getting the best nutrition which is important to me. The smaller-sized pieces are perfect for his tiny mouth and are soft enough to chew easily, unlike some harder kibbles that we tried and he seemed to struggle with. Our senior yorkie also eats his food now when we place it out so we give her a little bowl too. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this product and would recommend. We will continue to use this food and add to our autoship!

This puppy food was pretty tasty -- my puppy ate it with gusto and likes it more than her normal kibble. I could definitely imagine feeding it to her every day because

This puppy food was pretty tasty -- my puppy ate it with gusto and likes it more than her normal kibble. I could definitely imagine feeding it to her every day because of how much she likes it. My main issue with it is that it's pretty crumbly. We usually use meal times to do training with our puppy, feeding her a few pieces at a time, and doing that with this puppy food was tricky because it kept falling apart and left lots of crumbs on the floor. It's also not ideal as a treat instead of a meal because of this.

Our 3 Labrador Retrievers all just love this food. We use it as treats to reward good behavior and tricks well done and they all can't wait to do the next thing for a reward! None of our dogs are small puppies anymore, though the youngest is less than 2 years old, but all of them act like puppies when I offer these little nuggets as treats. Despite their small size, these nuggets deliver an enticing taste. Plus, the small size allows us to reward repeatedly without worrying about overfeeding. Well done, Redbarn!

Red Barn products are always good and this one is no different! The product was opened upon our family's return from a dog show when all of us are tired. When I opened it though, both of my dogs perked up and curiously checked out the smell which was clearly attractive to them. I have tried several other of the Red Barn Air Dried foods and other than the fish (they don't seem to like any fish) product, they are really popular at my house. I am using this as a topper for the puppy's regular food or as a training treat. My puppy is 14 months old and of course my adult (age 3) loved this product too.

We used this food as training treats because of the size and smell (not overpowering but the dogs enjoyed it). All food like this will have dust at the bottom of the bag and this is no different. It is just how it goes so I used the dust as a food topper which was definitely enjoyed. Cost wise this food is a much cheaper alternative to some very similar expensive brands and the dogs really don't care about brand.

I really like they are small enough for that so it’s not too much for her she enjoyed having them as treats as well.
