Good ingredients for your dog to eat.

RedBarn hearty strew turkey and carrot has good ingredients. We tried it out on our French bulldogs who don’t eat chicken, so I was happy to see there wasn’t any in the ingredients. The reason why I gave it a 4 star review instead of 5 is because when you see the word stew you would think it has lots of gravy. I was a little disappointed to see it looking kind of dry. I think all the gravy is at the bottom. I do like its little chunks of meat and carrots. So the big question was it a hit with my dogs, yes and no. One liked it and the other was being picky but I do think it’s worth trying again.

This is the perfect wet food for my trio! Specifically my picky pug. She does not like pate and this food was a stew (chunks) in gravy style. It's great because it wasn't dry but it wasn't drowning in gravy ( princess pug does not like to get her face dirty). I also appreciate that the ingredients are real quality food and you can see the carrot pieces. My pug is supposed to get pumpkin regularly due to a gland issue and this food has pumpkin listed in the top 10 ingredients. I like to wait to review new foods to make sure no one gets an upset belly and this passed the test!

My dogs (26 and 55 pound hound mixes) have really been enjoying this food. We typically put a few spoonfuls of a canned food over their dry kibbles and swapped out

My dogs (26 and 55 pound hound mixes) have really been enjoying this food. We typically put a few spoonfuls of a canned food over their dry kibbles and swapped out our usual for this Redbarn canned food. My pickier eater who is a grazer will actually come off her couch spot when she knows I’m putting it in her bowl. She’ll take the canned food off the top immediately and then run back to sleep. My good eater is happy to eat most anything and he seems to enjoy this too. It’s a little thicker than the usual dog gravy/liquid in a can which mostly just means it sticks to the spoon and they don’t make as much of a mess when they eat it!

Really nice high quality ingredients in the food. My dog loved it. I wasn't sure how he would do since he can be a bit picky but I mixed a little in with his regular food each meal and increased it a bit. He gobbled it up each meal. It had a decent amount of gravy / liquid in the container so it was nice and moist. Definitely recommend.

I like that it seemed like a very healthy food, it didn't have anything that bothers his allergies.

Unfortunately neither of my dogs would eat this dog food. I feel like this is a well respected brand but on two occasions, I tried to feed it to them but they refused

Unfortunately neither of my dogs would eat this dog food. I feel like this is a well respected brand but on two occasions, I tried to feed it to them but they refused to eat all day. They are spoiled though, as I typically make them homemade food with veggies, rice and meat. I thought this would be a nice treat for them, but I guess it wasn't. I ended up donating the extra cans I had to the local animal shelter.

Quality food for good price

So I ordered this food specifically to stuff my dogs favorite toy with to freeze for her to enjoy as a treat on a hot day. Because I do not usually feed her wet

So I ordered this food specifically to stuff my dogs favorite toy with to freeze for her to enjoy as a treat on a hot day. Because I do not usually feed her wet food I researched canned foods to make sure I was getting quality ingredients for a good price. First off my dog went crazy for the smell of the food and seemingly loved it when consuming. The best part was it didn't change her poop or give her any GI issues!! Highly recommend.
