Can this scale be calibrated?

What is the MINIMUM weight it will weight? I.E. dogs with apx weight of 15-20 Lbs?

Minimum weight capacity on this scale is 1 pound and 2 ounces.

1. Does this scale have a TARE setting? 2. Can this scale be stored vertically?

The scale does have a tare function. To use the tare function, place the object on the scale and then press the On/Off button. The scale will process the added weight and display 0:0. Place the pet on the scale and only the weight of the pet will be calculated and displayed. The scale can be stored vertically, that way no weight is left on the scale when not in use.

Sturdy backing to mat. Not flimsy

Horribly inaccurate

I put this down, used a level, weighed my dog. He's close to 100lbs, it showed 20 kilos (closer to 50lbs). Tried multiple times, put in new batteries, etc. only

I put this down, used a level, weighed my dog. He's close to 100lbs, it showed 20 kilos (closer to 50lbs). Tried multiple times, put in new batteries, etc. only once I got a weight that might be right of 94 pounds. So I tried another dog who was at the vet in the morning (42 lbs)...she didn't register. I weighed myself and came back at less than half my weight, my actual weight, 2/3 my weight even if I stood completely still in exactly the same spot every time. Definitely not accurate or reliable, at least the inaccurate weights are clearly incorrect.

Light weight and functional

I don't leave it permantly in one place, so a carrying bag or handle and a slot to store the remote display would be nice.

Love the ease of this scale

In January my dog got put on a diet due to being overweight and getting older since we wanted to make things easier on her. Cue working to get her to lose 20 lbs

In January my dog got put on a diet due to being overweight and getting older since we wanted to make things easier on her. Cue working to get her to lose 20 lbs. With her being a mastiff/Dane mix she is a big girl anyway so we needed a big scale that was big enough for her to easily be able to get all four feet on it and for it to hold her weight since she is close to 150lbs. I spent some time looking and comparing options and ultimately decided to go with this one. I absolutely love the ease of this scale. Instead of taking my dog ever 3-4 weeks to weigh her at the vet since she has been on a diet, we can now do more frequent weight checks and keep a closer eye on things.

My dogs are on a diet and I thought it would be easier to get a scale rather than bothering my vet all the time. I’m glad I did! It’s so convenient and I can track my dogs weight anytime I want. Just wish it has the tear feature (maybe it does, I did not read the manual yet). Overall I’m happy with my purchase!
