I have a 172lb Great Dane. I know the scale weighs up to 225lbs.Just wondered if my big boy would be able to fit on the scale or if anyone has tried this scale for a big Dane?

This scale measures 28 x 16 x 1.75 inches and can hold dogs up to 225 pounds. It will display weight from 1 pound 2 ounces up to 225 pounds, in 2-ounce increments.

Works well

Works great ! My puppy is afraid of it for some reason but it does the job once we coax him up there with treats. Takes batteries and I recommend keeping the box it comes in for easier no damage storage if you can't leave it out or don't have a perminat spot for it to stay.

Great but small

I should have read the dimensions in this item description bc I just went by the picture of the Golden thinking it was a large scale. My Doberman cannot fit on the scale and he’s the same size as an adult Golden. Just beware.

Was disappointed

I have three dogs, one of which is overweight and on a diet, and another one of them is underweight (we just adopted him) so I wanted a scale to track their progress. When I went to weigh my third dog the scale said she was only 25lbs, shes a 9 month old german shepherd and at the vet a few days ago she weighed almost 60lbs. I took her off the scale and put her back on it and the same result. I know she didnt lose almost 40lbs in a few days. So now I'm not sure if the readings for my other two were accurate, the overweight one was closer to his last weight at the vet, and the underweight one was a 10lb difference from his last vet visit. It also turns off randomly, like less than 30 seconds after I turn it on.

This is a nice quality scale, unfortunately it has an auto turn off set. It turns off after 10 seconds. Why? I have to fight my dog to get him on the scale and then play with the on/off button at the same time.

This scale is complete garbage

This scale will not work unless the dog is perfectly centered on the scale and balanced and by then the power shuts off. Even with HOLD I cannot get an accurate reading as puppies tend to shift their wieght. My bathroom scale is more accurate measuring human weight and far less sensitive to weight shifts than this one is measuring dog weight. It was a complete waste of money for me.

Exactly what I expected.

Sturdy and substantial. I added a thin layer of no slip rubber mat to improve surface grip and make dogs more eager to stand quietly while being weighed. Large display that’s simple to read from standing. Can do pounds or kg to make dosing meds a breeze. Washed off easily.

Pet Weigh Scale

We bought this for our fury son for Christmas and I’m glad we did. It’s a sturdy scale and comes very close to our vets scale. Your prob thinking how do you know? We had a fury son just weighed at the vets 6 days prior and he weighed on his scale almost 2 lbs more so it’s pretty close. Some say the platform is slippery we don’t find that to be the case he’s on stays until I say ok done then right off. The price is also good for this pet scale. It came in 2 days like all my orders arrive . I highly recommend this pet scale. Oh I have a 112 lb. Shepard and he fits on it as he should .

WEIGHT YOU SEE

It's light, easy to store and it took one time for Carter to learn how to use it. Each time we've laid it out he knows to walk up and stand on it. Easy large readout. We're happy we bought it.

Dogs on a Diet

The scale arrived earlier than predicted to the chagrin of my dogs who now had to face the fact that their previous owners had loved them just a bit too much- foodwise. The scale itself is easy to use & understand; especially if you bother to read the instructions first. The hard part is convincing the dogs to remain still on the scale, weigh individually & not "help" each other. These are just minor training issues that will get better with frequent use. I do not have the space to leave the scale in one place in my house so the fact that I can easily pick it up & store it elsewhere is a plus. A larger size would probably not be as portable. This scale is just fine for my purposes.
