Why isn't this recommended for horses?

Answer by Chewy • Aug 23, 2025
This product can be used for horses. The manufacturer does not use any medications or ionophores in any of their systems and the 10 Fine Premium Mineral Salt in 50lb bags is the same salt just a slightly finer grind. Horse owners may find that the 10 Fine Salt sifts to the bottom of their horses feed bucket when not wetting their ration. They may also find the salt will brick up if they keep it for a long time as there are no anti-caking agents in this salt.

Good stuff.

Lots of minerals as well as electrolytes in a form that can be added to feed easily.
