Sharp looking
By Patricia on Apr 15, 2021
Included in the package was a form for ordering a weighted base. It definitely needs one. Kitty gave it a jolt and it wobbled, startling him. Trying to get him to go back and use it! Tried catnip and so far he wasn’t interested. It looks sharp so I’ll keep trying and get the base!

My cat doesn’t use this
By Jess on Feb 24, 2021
Yoko, my 4 year older Bengal cat, loves scratcher posts. She’s had 3 different ones so far and is always battering them. When I moved into a new apartment I thought this would be a classy way to keep a post in the living room. This thing is well built and good looking. Well disguised and doesn’t look like cat furniture. It’s been 10 days and Yoko has no interest in the wicker material. I’ve tried to Intrigue her by adding cat nip etc, but no effect. I’m sad because it’s so good looking, and I’ll give it some more time but right now she prefers scratching the couch..

My cat has zero interest
By Star2020 on Apr 10, 2021
My cat has zero interest in this post. I encouraged scratching, doused it with cat nip, nothing worked. Built well, pretty for a cat post, but the material is hard and and not at all like traditional cat posts. So totally useless and expensive.

Faux rattan doesn't feel like the real thing
By HerbieHancat on Apr 1, 2021
It's certainly durable, and it looks nicer than any scratching post I've ever seen, but it feels like plastic. We were expecting wicker material which we know our cats love to scratch, but this is different. Unfortunately the cats weren't interested.

Pricy—but cheaper than furniture!
By Bengalservant on Feb 6, 2021
We have a lanky tall Bengal who loves to stretch upwards to scratch. Our home has multiple other scratch posts and pads that he has always ignored in favor of furniture and door facings. At first, he ignored this fairly pricy scratch post, too. In order to attract him to the post, I tied a few cat toys to it and now he loves it. The price is very much worth it and I am likely going to order a couple more to put throughout the house. If you are hesitant, I do encourage you to give it a try if you have an upward-preferring kitty. Just know that you may need to add a few dangling toys for attractants at first!

beautiful but they are oblivious to it
By SilverKat on Mar 20, 2021
Its almost a sculpture... I wanted it to work. It seems some cats are flat ground scratchers and others like upright... Too Bad.

Well made cat scratcher
By Audiomarc1 on Feb 16, 2021
Very well built. The problem was getting my cats to use it. It looks more like furniture so my cats stayed away.

I like it, cats not so much
By customer on Dec 13, 2020
This post is attractive and sturdy and I love it! The cats use it to sit on, like a watchtower, but don't scratch it even though they tore my wicker furniture to shreds. So yes, they use it, mainly to get a drop on their housemates, but not for the intended purpose. Your cats may react differently. It's a great product, just not so much for my cats.
