13" wide/deep, only weighs 39lbs, and doesn't have a weighted base? Is this sturdy? Seems it would tip over easily. Does anyone own this? Did you anchor to wall? Thanks!

This is constructed of sturdy, powder-coated metal and includes security wall anchor.

Are the pads attached in any way (velcro?) or do they just sit on the shelves? I'm concerned about them slipping off when the cats are roughhousing.

These pads are attached with velcro lining all 4 outer edges of each pad making them easy to remove for cleaning and stable for cats to play on.

One of the pictures looks like a food bowl is placed in it - are there holes for doing this?

This Cat Tree and Condo does not include the platform with a bowl. You can replace one of the platforms with Food Bowl Platform Set that is sold separately through manufacturer.

Can the platforms be used without the cushion?

It is quality, and you can change the pads, make your own if you get sick of the material or your cat throws up on , which is inevitable. The products from this company are pricey but you only have to buy them one time. Which for a cat person makes it a deal

Unique cat tree, but be careful w/ assembly

I do love this cat tree as it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen, but I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the paint chips like bad nail polish as you’re trying

I do love this cat tree as it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen, but I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the paint chips like bad nail polish as you’re trying to assemble it. Drop a screw accidentally? Now you just chipped it again! So be super ultra careful with assembly and you’ll be ok. It was well-packaged and generally pretty easy to assemble (used 2 people as it would be challenging to hold everything together with just 1) My 3 cats love it, and I love that it doesn’t look like an ugly carpet-covered monstrosity in my bedroom. Do make sure to secure it to the wall with the provided hardware, it’s very tippy on carpeted floor otherwise.

I have six rescue cats and I have a lot of towers in my home but I was looking for something that I don't have to vacuum. Where it is very little work and I found this shelf and I looked at it and I thought, well, if it does not work out and if the cats don't like it I can use it as a bookshelf and it still will look great. But my cats love it and it looks so good that people who come in are asking me where I bought it from and when people come in and the cats are not laying on it they are assuming that it is a beautiful bookshelf. Even I had to struggle a little bit putting it together it was absolutely worse my time and my effort because this is unique and I know I will not find it again anywhere else. Just a note. When the shelf was new they were afraid of it because of its size and so I put on each level a little bit catnip and they felt it was worth it to explore and then they just fell in love with it.

Cheap Dissapointment

I'd return it if I could. The frame is light and cheap, the powder coating is chipping off and painted over with acrylic in spots. The pads are all irregular and

I'd return it if I could. The frame is light and cheap, the powder coating is chipping off and painted over with acrylic in spots. The pads are all irregular and the fabric is taped together and not even completely. Save yourself and get anything else. It's trash.

IT SMELLS SO BAD

It’s very nice looking and I think my cats will eventually like it but IT SMELLS SO BAD. IT SMELLS SOOOOOOOO BAAAAAAAAAAAD. That fresh-out-of-the-box factory formaldehyde chemical smell. It’s triggered a migraine for me. I built it last night and hoped the smell might abate by the morning, but it didn’t. And then I hoped the smell might lessen by the time I got home from work, but it didn’t. I’ve doused the thing in baking soda and used some other home-remedy style tricks that seemed to work for a short amount of time, but the smell came back after only an hour or two. I’m human. If it smells this bad to me, what must it smell like to my cats? They won’t go near the thing, despite it being next to their other cat tree. I decided to stick the thing on my front porch and spread the cushions out in hopes that the outdoors will help the smell dissipate, but it’s gonna be 29°F and snowing tonight. At least I’m pretty sure it’s under enough cover to not get destroyed. It’s cute. It’s sturdy. Easy to put together. BUT OMG THE SMELL.

This is a great product. It arrived in 2 boxes which were packed well. The instructions were easy to follow. Our 6 cats weight ranges from 8 to 12 pounds. It easily holds multiple cats and is very sturdy. I read other reviews which commented about it being unstable. I have not experienced this at all. I recommend not completely tightening each bolt during initial assembly. Only after the final installation of the shelves did I go back and really tighten down all the bolts. Also, the feet are adjustable which aids in leveling the unit. I would definitely recommend this product.
