We decided to give Regal Lean Cat a try after learning that two of our three babies were “well-fed.” This particular natural formula is known for its weight control and management properties. We’ve been on the kibble for two weeks now. The first week was a transition week, where I mixed old kibble with the new kibble to gradually introduce their stomachs to the new food. By the end of the second week, we were fully on Regal kibble, and the kittens absolutely love it! I’m hoping this will help keep their weight under control. I was drawn to this food because of its simple ingredients and probiotics. When I first opened the bag, I noticed the locking seal that keeps the dry food fresh. This was a huge plus for me, knowing that it will ensure that my littles have access to fresh food.

High Quality Food with Adverse Reaction

This food seems really high-quality. The food doesn't have a particularly strong odor, the pieces are very small so even young cats and cats with poor dentition

This food seems really high-quality. The food doesn't have a particularly strong odor, the pieces are very small so even young cats and cats with poor dentition can enjoy it, and our cats seemed to enjoy eating it. The issue we had is, despite adding it very slowly into our cats regular dry food over the course of four days and continuing their nightly wet food/supplement regimen, several of our cats developed extreme diarrhea and vomiting. After walking in their room to find the horrifying mess on day six, we discontinued use immediately and switched back to the food from before. Everyone seems back to normal except our 15-year-old who is still vomiting three days later. I'm not positive it was this food, but I can't think of anything else that could have affected them. This was the only changed variable. I am still giving the food three stars because of our six cats, it seemed only four of them developed gastric distress. I think this food could be very good for certain cats, just not ours.

Love how natural this food is. Out of 8 adult cats only two didn't seem to take to it. The ones that did like it really went for it. No stomach issues and they seemed to pick it over there previous food which I had near by. I always want the most natural and grain free. I've actually been using this brands kitten food for a litter of 5 we rescued 3 weeks ago and for them they just all love it. If I can get my other two adults to eat this I might just use this brand for all the dry food.

Overall, my cat enjoyed this food. She’s not very picky so incorporating it into her diet wasn’t hard! I thought the ingredients were great and the price was great too! The packaging was very nice, I loved the velcro closure. It made me confident that her food was fresh. I will probably switch to Regal dry for my kitty from now on! However, I will probably not go with the lean formula simply because my petite girl doesn’t need that.

I have been mixing it with other dry foods that they don't care for to encourage them to eat the undesirable dry food. My strategy works! Once their least favorite dry food is gone, I will give them the Regal dry food only.

I love that the color is neutral bc it won’t stain as much if my cat eats too quickly and gets sick. Also this food doesn’t feel greasy like some other cat foods.
