Idea is great, but had to modify to work
On intial setup of both (we got 2) neither top would "click" into place, as seen in many other comments. But, because these were exactly what we wanted and needed
On intial setup of both (we got 2) neither top would "click" into place, as seen in many other comments. But, because these were exactly what we wanted and needed I decided to figure it out. On the top bracket for the post, if you file the inside down about 1/8th of an inch and remove the ledge from the bottton (file inside out and across the bottom) I was able easily to get them to click in. So, great idea, but the execution needs work, the tolerances are super sloppy and that could be addressed by making the bracket and connection hardware metal.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I have spent a lot of time trying to get the top part of the hardware to click into wall mount but it will not

This is an easy product to set up. However, the mechanism that snaps into the wall mount does not stay locked in. Every time you pull out the gate it detaches
