Die the RelaxoPet help with separation anxiety?
Answer by ChewyFeb 07, 2021
This relaxation system is helpful when you’re out and about—a sensor detects noise and motion when you’re absent and turns on automatically to soothe your pet.

We normally leave the TV on for the dogs when there are fireworks so the flashing isn’t as noticeable. We leave the sound on too. Will this work over the sound of TV?
Answer by ChewyJun 08, 2020
Television and radio have no influence on the relaxation provided. It is recommended to use in silent mode while using with TV or Radio.

If I want to use the Relaxopro on walks where my dog may see triggers, do I need to use the sound mode or can I use silent noise-motion mode? I'm confused because the instructions say to only use the sound mode in "foreign" situations and I don't really know what that means.
Answer by ChewyMay 03, 2021
The RelaxoPet PRO can be used in silent mode after a period of acclimatization. The acclimatization period depends on the stress level of your pet. If an animal is very stressed, the acclimatization period may take longer than indicated in the operating instructions. Only when the animal positively connects the sound waves in calm situations and is correspondingly relaxed when the device is switched on, should the next step be taken. However, for the first walks after the animal has become accustomed to the RelaxoPet, we would recommend not switching off the sound mode of the device. In this way, environmental noises can be muffled somewhat.

Will this work for more than one dog

Won't turn off

Afte going through the setup period we used this for about 3 weeks before it stopped working. First it wouldn't shut off, so we shut off the music but left it plugged in. Then the music would only play for about 30 seconds and shut off. Not sure if it worked or not for my dogs anxiety but was using in case it was helping. Disappointed with the cost to usable time ratio.

Sleeping pill

This thing worked great didn't make it a year looking for something else . For the price I thought it would last longer. My Sheba knew when we turned it on it was bed time.

Disappointed in quality

For this being a German product, I expected the quality to be good... but after about 4 months, I started seeing issues with charging/charging port where it would only charge sometimes and if you fiddle with the cable enough. Now after half a year, the charger is completely broken making it unusable. For the price, I don't find this acceptable at all.

Wonder Product

it has been a real game changer for my dog. It was night and day from the second we turned it on. He was messing inside and destroying everything possible when left alone. But if we put him in a crate he would bark the entire time which lead to a very in happy landlord. Since we started using this we have not seen any of his pervious bad behaviors. We use the non audio mode for when we are home and the audio mode for when we are not and at night. Highly recommend!

Has helped us

A client of mine had this for her large breed dog. Thought I would like to use while she was here for her monthly spa day. She told me I could keep it and use it if I thought it would help. I kept on all the time while having groomers and boarders. It has helped many dogs and then some it has not. But over all I am please with it. It has worked itself to death as of thus morning and I am buying another one very soon!!!

Made my frantic dog worse

I've tried everything for my hyper-anxious rescue (and we've had her for some 10 years). This goes on the list of "tries and fails." Since starting to use the machine 10 days ago (exactly as directed by the full-length manual on the mfg. website), she has gotten more jumpy, more anxious, more frantic. This goes back tomorrow.

Relaxopet--does it work?

I'm not sure what to say about this device. I recently adopted a small dog who appears to have been kept confined for all of his six years. He has never been socialized and is very anxious, so there are huge trust issues. We use the Relaxopet four hours a day, and he is clearly more relaxed when it is on, but still hyper-alert. We're working with a trainer, and he's improving slowly, but this hasn't been a magic wand for us, as some others have said it was for them. (I have to add, I am not fond of rigid formats such as this one, so may never write another review, much as I love Chewy.)

Eh, haven’t noticed a difference

The timer option doesn’t seem to work at all. The “quick start” guide they send doesn’t tell you how to use all of the settings (like having the timer turned on before starting the device, still doesn’t work though). I know it’s creating the “deep relaxation” noise but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on my dogs. A lot of money for something that doesn’t work right and isn’t effective.

Highly Recommend This!

Our elderly Boston Terrier is terrified of storms and fireworks. We were giving him Sileo Gel (from the vet) which works quite well, but I have not needed that since using RelaxoPet - white noise and music frequency that calms dogs. Now our dog has a routine when thunder is on its way - he gets in his bed in the master bedroom and we turn on his muzac. He quickly calms and naps. I was shocked that this worked - but it absolutely does. It took our dog about three times before he instantly calms down.

Miracle for my pup

One of my pups has anxiety when it comes to fireworks and thunderstorms. I have tried many products, and I can say by far this one works. My husband was skeptical, but right now we are in the middle of a storm, and she is chilling, like it's nothing is wrong. No panting, pacing, jumping, etc; just a very calm pup. Husband is shocked by how well she is doing. We have tried this a few times, with the same results. Give it a try and stay positive with your pup when the unit is running.
