This is a well designed watering system for my chickens. I especially like the reservoirs as it gives them access to the water without allowing a lot of dirt to be kicked into the water compartment as is with other systems. Assembly was very simple and mounting it to the side of my coop was easy. My chickens are still adapting to it but have used it and seemed to like the way that it works giving them access to freshwater. The container is large and easy to clean and there are several possibilities for mounting and or hanging it depending on your style of chicken coop. I am very happy with this product and will continue to use it
Love this chicken waterer for a few chickens
The 1gallon waterer is the perfect size for my orange 6 chicken coop that has a few full-sized chickens in it. Easy to put together, although you have to drill holes
The 1gallon waterer is the perfect size for my orange 6 chicken coop that has a few full-sized chickens in it. Easy to put together, although you have to drill holes to use the mounting hardware. I put out one of each type of waterer that comes included and so far they prefer the cupped one. No leaks if you tighten the screw enough and can easily put caulk around it if needed to further prevent leaks. I’m hoping since no light penetrates this one, that it will stay cleaner than my other algae ridden ones that are clear. So far the water has lasted more than a few days vs my other hanging ones would have to refill every other day because they swing it around and it dumps water everywhere. This one is mounted in place with hooks so it’s way more stable.y chickens took right to it. So so happy with this waterer.

Even though it’s marketed for chicks, the cups are sturdy and well-sized, and our adult birds had no trouble using them. Hanging it at the right height makes a big difference, and once adjusted, it’s been reliable with no leaks or tipping. The 1-gallon capacity is best suited for small flocks or as a secondary water source, but for our setup it’s perfect. Refilling is quick, the design is simple, and it holds up well to regular use. This is a really cool chicken waterer! My chickens took to it right away. It looks nice hanging on their pen too! Only downfall is the little cups freeze when it’s really cold. I do just pour some warm water in them to thaw. Really like it! My only recommendation that would make it easier is predrilled holes, otherwise really a great product!!

Which in Turn has led to this product’s Longevity. This company has thought of everything! On the top it is peaked to deter perching. I am beyond excited for this product and company! I would advise any serious chicken Owner/farmers to reconsider the utilization of other products from other companies And look at this companies’s Multiple products, you will not be disappointed!
A perfect size for a small flock

I made a 5 gallon bucket waterer but it is too heavy/big to hang and far too big for my flock of 6. This is a perfect little size. I will not be able to use it until spring but already happy with the size and the option to use cups or nipples. I am going to try the cups first as we have never used these before. I can already tell that the shape of the top will be successful in keeping the hens off. I have always been happy with RentACoop products and can already tell that this will be equally good quality.
Great extra watering station for the chickens!
This watered is great for an extra water option for the girls. When they free range, I set it up on a tree for them so they can get water whenever they are out

The only thing is the freezing temps…like most watering devices, freezing temps and water don’t mix! Overall serves the purpose and very happy with it.

This waterer hangs securely, can hold a good amount of water and has freed me up to do “other chores”! Lol! I recommend this waterer for small coops for clean fresh water for your girls!
