Homesteaders here! We had 4, 3 week old Cornish meat birds. Totally unprepared but made it work. This cart comfortably them at night away from predators. we let them out everyday into a dog pen enclosure. At 8 weeks old, all 4 fit with enough room. I wouldn’t put anymore than 4 because my hens grew to be huge! I used a dog auto water thingy and raised it it up on wood pieces as the grew. For a family of two adults 4 Cornish hens is enough meat to last 6-8 months. This closure allowed me to hang their food tray up at night. Amazing.

I Got this in on may 17th to hold my first 4 baby chickens in it when it got to me it was dusty and smelled like plastic mixed with something else so I cleaned it up, though that would be the only issue that I would have with it but nope with in a month or less the handle for one door broke off , one panel door also came off the tape or glue holding the sliding doors slide stripes on also started piling up, moved my 4 oldest chickens out to the coop and run in July and gave it a clean down put my 11 smaller chickens in it and it and started to see more black dots in it that I didn't think nothing of at first back when I set it up in my to find out that it was mold inside small areas that is completely in possible to clean out and that was why all my chickens seemed to be having issue's with breathing and sneezing , I liked it at first the set up is nice just to may issue's with it, believe that it shouldn't have small openings that can truly form mold deeper inside of any of the parts that need to be cleaned seeing that baby chickens are very messy and that the doors could be put on alot better then what they are and that it shouldn't smell funny or off when receiving it.

It was easier to clean than the big totes I had changing everyday. The only thing I could say to improve on it, is add plastic slides to close off some of the vents until especially bantams get older. I had 30 bantams in mine and 4- large breed pullets. Kept them in it for 5 months no over crowding. I love it.

In the past, I’ve used old dog crates as brooders. They got the job done, but they were always bulky, hard to clean, and a pain to store. This brooder, made of corrugated plastic, is a huge upgrade. It’s super lightweight and easy to wipe clean, which is a big plus when you’re dealing with the mess that comes with raising chicks. While it wouldn’t stand up to a larger animal, it’s definitely sturdy enough to hold chicks securely. The velcro fastener on the top is surprisingly strong, though like most velcro, I expect it might wear out over time. I appreciated the extra touches like the included pads (along with guidance on when to use them depending on chick age), the light, and the additional locking mechanism. That added lock is a smart addition if you’ve got pets, other animals, or curious kids around who might accidentally pop open the main fastener. My chick shipment was delayed, but I used my 10 week old Silkie chick to show size reference in the photos, and it fit comfortably. I’d recommend this brooder because: It’s lightweight and easy to move or store Wipes clean without hassle Comes with useful accessories (pads, light, and extra lock) Velcro top is convenient yet secure Good size for several young chicks Overall, good if you want something simple, clean, and functional.

I set up my big red barn in my house as I don't have a safe place to put it outside. It's the perfect size! I raised my last set of chicks in an old horse trough and this is a big improvement! That being said, my 20lb cat has taken up residence on the lid. It is sturdy so it passes that test! Its very well made, with the inserts it will be very easy to clean. The accessories I selected are perfect for it and will be easy to access to maintain. It's truly pet proof at my house! My chicks arrive first week of May and I'm so excited, I ordered Cream Legbars and Barnevelders.

Previously, I struggled with brooder boxes that gave chickens enough space, ventilation, and kept them in the box when their flight feathers developed… This does it all! I loved that it came with liners for the bottom, a secure Velcro lid, and plenty of ventilation for the chickens to stay healthy. The LED and removable stickers were a nice touch. This is well worth the price - plenty of room, and secure enough to keep them in until they’re ready to go outside!

My husband was surprised with how quickly he was able to put it together. We're waiting for some eggs to hatch and wanting to leave em out with the chickens but in this safe space. Easy build and looks great. Sturdy enough and like the liners and light it comes with as well as the lock.

Easy to clean
Buy the bundle, it's totally worth it. You need all the stuff anyway and you can use it after they outgrow brooder. Also, remember chicken Math, you'll need this
