Great quality but be aware!
The cones on top can move a bit and did get one of our chicks stuck. It was an easy fix but I wouldn’t want it to happen while I wasn’t near by! We removed the cones

No heat

It works, BUT be aware of design flaw!
It works to keep your little chicks warm, and the idea of the cover to keep the little guys from sitting on top of it and pooping all over it is a good one. But,

But, there is definitely a design flaw people should be aware of! This plastic “roof” slides onto the 4 support posts. However, there is a gap between the post holes and the posts. I didn’t realize this was an issue until I heard one of our chick screaming and ran to see what was wrong. I found our little baby hanging upside down by her toe, which was caught in this gap!!!!! I’m guessing she had tried to get up on top of the roof and as she slid off of it, got caught. We are so lucky I happened to be close by when it happened.
Easily adjustable!!
Love how easy the push tabs make this to adjust. Works perfectly with the rentacoop big red barn chick brooder. We have 17 chicks under this 12x12 size and it works

Brooder plate is a good product.
It does the job in a heated area. Much safer than a heat lamp. I wish it specified the rating for the lowest room tempature that may allow these plates to br successfully

I’ll stick with the heat lamps
The top portion is very cheap, not what I expected. Doesn’t seem to warm as well as a heat lamp.
