Too Easy

I love the idea of these chicken treat dispenser. The chickens love them, but the problem is that it is WAY too easy for the chickens to dp the food/treats out

I love the idea of these chicken treat dispenser. The chickens love them, but the problem is that it is WAY too easy for the chickens to dp the food/treats out. The holes are way too bug. My chickens will dump all 4 of them out within the hour - if that. Seriously! "Enrichment" would be an overstatement. And because they are able to dump them clean so quickly, be careful of how many treats you put in! I'd recommend a blend of chicken feed with some treats thrown in, mixed up, and poured into the tubes. That being said, it was simple to put up, I LOVE the wooden scoop it comes with. It's a nice idea, just executed poorly. They need to make tops with smaller holes. It's either one large hole in the center or 3 slightly smaller holes. The feed/treats start dumping out as soon as you fill it and flip it upside down (not much, chickens still have to peck). You are much better off buying a hanging cage ball, buying some cabbage/leafy greens, and hiding treats/feed in that. I like this and I will continue using it on and off, but I wish it was something that could keep them engaged much longer. You might be able to come up with a way to block some of the holes to create your own difficulty - something I'm looking to try.
