This bedding is great for coops. It's not dusty and that's important. It comes well packed and goes further than I thought it would. It has no oder. My chickens were afraid of it at first and took a few days for them to get used to it. I also put it in their laying boxes because every now and then a egg breaks and this helps cushion or soak up any liquids. Hemp is great for all sorts of things and this espically. They did not attempt to eat it so thats a good thing. It stayed flufy and dry under the coop canopy even though it snowed and blew rain around it.Out of all the chips and pine needles I have used over the years this stuff ranks well above. I'll be using it in my brooder when I get chicks this spring to keep it cleaner longer between cleanings.

We have chickens, ducks, and goats, in addition to our dogrins. It was about to get REALLY cold, and the coop was good, so i decided to use this product in the goat beds. Its exactly what it says. Low dust, and VERY absorbing. I take the wet/soiled parts out each day, and put it in my no-till garden. This beeding is amazing!!

The hemp bedding is really absorbent, and has helped significantly with the humidity in my coop! It's also really soft, especially compared to pine shavings and wood pellets. That said, my only complaint is that it's really fine and somewhat dusty, which isn't ideal.

Hemp is hands down better at absorbing than wood pellets or shavings. Despite exorbitant price we tried it because we knew we could buy in bulk for $15-$17 bag including delivery. For ducks nothing beats it. For hot composting run in sheds for horses, it’s better than wood pellets or shavings at absorbency. We use straw in our sheds to trap heat & cover manure while the hemp keeps the hot pack dry b We use DOMINION HEMP. Customer service is EXCELLENT. If you can buy in bulk, or purchase from someone who does, it’s insanity to pay $50-70 bag

I like the fine texture!

I have followed the instructions and sprayed some water on it to activate the absorbability. The two younger hens like the texture but my older hen is a bit weary
