It's good I had read a review by someone who has BSH cat when making my decision to buy this comb as it is quite expensive. Our cat is also a BSH and it's the first comb he actually enjoys. I think it would be ideal for any short-haired cat. I am really happy to find such a great product on Chewy.
No regrets perfect for my BSH cats

I have two BSH cats and have bought a variety of grooming tools for them. One of my BSH cats has a much thicker undercoat than the other and hates grooming time. Hes such a good boy but really dislikes it. My girl is much more cooperative and even appears to enjoy it. This comb is a gamechanger. I have what looks like the same comb, but with teeth closer together. One of the teeth (first one on the comb) got a little loose but that's because his coat is just so thick. This one, on the other hand, glides through much easier. It's what my poor baby needed. The teeth aren't too tight to pull his fur, but not too wide to do nothing. It has just enough spacing to remove any matting and remove loose undercoat without tugging to rhe point if hurting him. Hes a sensitive one for sure but I cant put myself in his paws so I have to just try my best to make him comfortable (along with a treat of course). I followed it with a combo pin bristle boar brush I just got and a little silicone misting brush that picked up any left over loose fur. Not necessary for every single grooming but was able to accomplish these extra steps today since he let me groom for longer than normal since this comb was much more comfortable. Bottom line is, the price is completely worth the quality of the item, if your pet needs a wider comb. The results were my cats fur was groomed properly and he was much happier. Oh and by the way, I tried it on my girl who also has a thick undercoat. Also it's not as thick as his it still groomed her very well bringing up any loose fur and she loved it, even went belly up for her session lol.

The teeth of the comb don’t seem to be too pointy, so they’re gentle which is good. My cat is Siberian and Medium seems to work for her longer fur and as a gentler option. I’m going to get Fine too because I feel like it would work better for areas of shorter, finer fur. I’d suggest Fine for shorter hair cats because I think Medium’s teeth would be too far apart. I was disappointed though that the color looks darker in person. I was excited about the candy purple color, but it’s more of a dark purple.
