    Functional but a tad flimsy

    By on

This does a great job keeping the pad in place. My only wish is that the top part was a bit less flimsy. I really don't care for the way the top part has virtually no support to keep it off the pad. I have a different brand that I got at a pet store and it has "spacers" every few inches. Also, it is a tad annoying separating the top part from the brown perimeter holder. (Not really sure if I am explaining that correctly.) Anyway, I wish it had better support to keep the top part off of the pad. On the plus side, not having the spacers does make it a tad easier to clean when they have a solid poop. However, if it is a soft poop then the other on wins out. Also, the bottom side of this pad holder This does a great job keeping the pad in place. Tried 3 different systems...this is the best

    By on

I have a Yorkie puppy and I purchased a pad holder system that I felt turned out to be a little big for such a little dog. Then I got one 1/2 the size. It was a tad too small. With both of them he was tracking the urine onto the tile after walking on it. This Richell Paw Trax pad holder tray works the best for three reasons. #1 is the size is perfect for my little guy and #2 It does help some with the tracking of urine onto the tile because the plastic grate that sits on top of the pad holds him above it for the most part. My little guy tends to wee repeatedly in the same spot so it becomes super saturated in that spot so he does track some due to that reason. Boop out of line

    By on

I bought this try thinking it’s easy to snap try off. Just don’t like how wide the trim is. Puppy misses the try and gets it on frame. The snap on side is great, and liners fit after folding a portion of it.

    Not worth the money!

    By on

I bought this item having read reviews and thinking it would help with the potty training of my new baby Bichon. I tried to get her to use it for 4 weeks, and it never once met its purpose. It just took up space in her training pen. Long story short, it was a waste of money. Training pads and consistency are the only things that made her puppy potty training a success.

just bought a second one! Works great!

    By on

Just bought a second one of these for another room. Our dog loves it! we couldn't get her to use it at first but we took a pee pad she had gone on and put it in side and then she got the idea that's where she's supposed to go. It also keeps her from chewing the pad and keeps her from walking through urine, if we buy different pee pads my husband just cuts or folds them to size.

Can somebody give me an idea?

    By on

I bought this for my puppy who is an indoor three pound dog. Usually she pees on the pad, but now she refuses to step on this tray. I even got the spray to train her, but now she would rather go on the floor. Can somebody please tell me how to do this? I love the idea of dry paws for which this tray will be ideal

    Puppy Apartment MUST

    By on

Bought this for my pup before I got her. I got her a crate and a playpen which I attached to the crate and put this with a wee wee pad on the opposite end of the crate. At night I placed her in her "puppy apartment" and that same night she relieved herself on top of this tray!! She has learned to go to the bathroom at night here so she does not even wake me to go to the bathroom at night. During the day I open the play pen for easy access to this tray and she also relieves herself there when indoors. I love this tray because: #1 She has no access to the wee wee pad which most puppies tear up. #2 It is very easy to clean up I simply remove the wee wee pad, pass a Clorox wipe on the gate Bought this for my pup before I got her. She even uses it when at a friend's house. Also, unlike just placing a new pad on the floor, I find that the first days you can switch the pad but not clean the plastic that way it still sort of smells like her urine so she can be encouraged to go again. I am soooo glad I decided to buy this and recommend it to all new puppy owners. I know I will use this her entire life! So convenient. (She has not pooped on it so I cannot comment on that) Oh! And for those that fear that puppy apartments make them unlearn to go outside I can tell you that she still does her business outside every day. I just like that since shes a puppy and cannot hold it very much she has a place to go inside and during the night. … more

7 month old GSD can pull it apart

    By on

The idea is great. I got this to keep my 7 month old German Sheppard from ripping apart his puppy pads. Didn't work, he was able to unsnap the trays and pull them apart. However, Chewy has such excellent customer service they refunded me my money. Thank you Chewy!

    Great idea

    By on

I like the idea of being able to use the pee pee pad more than once. We only need to replace it once every 24 hours so we save on pads and garbage waste. Poop sits nicely on top for easy cleaning. The feet is cleaner since there's no direct contact with the dirty pad. Must clean top mesh every few days because the pee does stink it up a little. Well made and good sized too...up to a 25lb dog can use it.
