How is the door secured?

This carrier has a latch system that you squeeze both the top and bottom bars, then release once the door is closed, allowing both bars to lock in to the kennel. I've attached a photo below to show the latch system from the inside.

To change the door's opening direction, you will need to remove the door and detach the carrier. Then, rotate the door and reposition the sliding mechanism to the opposite side (left or right, as needed).

Very disappointed

Unfortunately, so flimsy as to be unsafe, even for carrying far below the recommended weight capacity. The sides give easily and are not firm enough to really hold

Unfortunately, so flimsy as to be unsafe, even for carrying far below the recommended weight capacity. The sides give easily and are not firm enough to really hold shape. Hard to line up for assembly, mostly because of the sides that bend easily, and not a secure enough fit.

DON'T BUY THIS NONSENSE!

Pure garbage. Hard to put together. The directions are all pictures which don't help at all. No video. No customer service. a waste of $70

Light duty only. Pretty. Connections are plastic.

This will not stay together under stress. I have applied duct tape along the seam on the inside to hold the top and bottom together.

A really nice carrier-- but it's awful to put together

The drawings are no help at all. I would have given this 5 stars otherwise. I've put together a lot of stuff in my time-- this is near the top of the list of tuffies
