I was a hold out for the cameras as I'm not electronically gifted. This Ring camera was easy to set up. You have to pay for the service and download the app. The app walks you through set up. It can either be used with batteries or hard wired directly through doorbell wires. I wondered why anyone would use batteries if it can be wired. I found out. It has a motion sensor which activates the video. The sensor is sensitive and is activated any time even a slight breeze moves anything in my front yard. So, I get notified continuously for seemingly no reason. I could move the device so that it wouldn't catch blowing tree branches but what else would it miss. Also, there is a delay between activation and the start of recording. Once, I saw someone leaving but it didn't catch the person arriving. All in all, I'm not a fan and don't plan on buying more.

First thing to know is that you can have the Ring without a subscription but the functionality is considerably better with one. You can still see and talk to visitors

First thing to know is that you can have the Ring without a subscription but the functionality is considerably better with one. You can still see and talk to visitors and get motion alerts but you won't be able to save, store, or review videos. Installation was easy and the app is great, especially for pet owners. You will get notifications that a pet or person has been detected and there is even a Ring lost and found network. The motion detector works well and there are plenty of extra features available

What a sweet surprise to get a Ring from Chewy, wow! The set-up was super easy in the app, took me maybe 5 min once I had the device charged. Installation was incredibly simple also, and comes with a 30-day free trial for the service. I'm not sure what the cost will be once the trial is over, but so far this is a great product. I rent my townhouse, so nice & easy to remove and take with me when I move also. So far, so good - thank you!!

I got this Ring doorbell/camera to put on my back door to keep an eye on my active Shepherd. It's amazing! The picture quality far exceeds the camera I have on

I got this Ring doorbell/camera to put on my back door to keep an eye on my active Shepherd. It's amazing! The picture quality far exceeds the camera I have on my front door. Even in the dark, I can see my pup clearly. I wasn't sure if I'd like the battery powered one, but I've had it up for more than a week and haven't had to charge it yet! I'm beyond happy with this product and am considering replacing my front door camera with a Ring. I'd highly recommend!

I never wanted to watch the animals but here I am, setting up the Ring Video Doorbell WiFi Pet Camera :) Easy too, BTW. I have a cat that does NOT like the dog, and I have 2 floors to my house. I'm able to be alerted when 'Biscuit' is in an area he shouldn't be. So even when I don't have eyes on him, I have eyes on him!

The pet Ring doorbell allows me to see a wider area & down my front steps were my dog sits & which I could not see with my original ring doorbell, for that reason

The pet Ring doorbell allows me to see a wider area & down my front steps were my dog sits & which I could not see with my original ring doorbell, for that reason alone it is worth the upgrade. The picture & sound are really clear & the set up was super easy. Another plus is that you can get alerts of motion when you are not home & are able to see it in real time on your phone

Easy to use camera doorbell. Didn’t require any invasive installation, since it was battery I was able to mount it right by my door. I’m not sure how long the battery

I’m not sure how long the battery life is but I’m hoping it will last for a few months. I love the new bronze color, it doesn’t stand out as much against a dark door frame.
