Two of the toys are holding up very well to constant use by two medium sized dogs. They love the light blue tug - it crackles when they bite it. The throw toy with the tennis ball isn't holding up as well. The ball is shedding, and the rope material is fraying. Overall, I'm happy with the set, and so are the dogs.

Toy breed puppy gives four paws up

When we received these in the mail, I realized that I accidentally got toys meant for dogs much larger than a 3 month toy breed. I didn't expect she could even pick up the weighted tennis ball, so she surprised me by picking it as one of her favorite Fetch toys. Her small jaw and milk teeth are useless for picking up the ball, but the dense rope running through it is perfect for her to drag it while running. It also makes the ball easier to track in the air, and keeps it from rolling very far. It lands, bounces once maybe a foot or two past, then stays. For a little dog so low to the ground, that all makes it easier to find and she loves being powerful enough to retrieve that big unwieldy thing. Sometimes when she runs back with it, she kinda trips up on the ball trailing under her. But she picks the rope back up and starts again. She also loves to play tug of war with the rope end. I doubt she'll ever be big enough to play with a regular tennis ball. But this thing has been many hours of fun and hearty exercise for her. The other two toys she likes for indoor fetch. Those ones are much shorter, which makes them harder for her to follow through the air and locate in leaves. Those two are only so-so for tug of war, because they're so short that you have to be on the floor right with the dog. If this were a breed with strong jaw, I'd be reluctant to play tug of war with toys as short as those since it puts your hand close to the mouth while they're in aggressive play mode. So even though these toys appear too big for little dogs, I actually think they're best for little dogs with weak bites and small strides, who appreciate that the ball won't get very far away and who don't mind that it won't be doing exciting bouncing. Whereas a lab might find this tennis ball a grave disappointment because of how fast it sinks to the ground. Vive la difference!
