    "slices" too small

    By kittyl on May 14, 2021 top250Contributor

my very fussy senior cat with kidney disease seems to think this food is just acceptable. she doesn't love it but she doesn't hate it. she mostly licks the sauce away and tries to eat the slices sometimes but has trouble getting ahold to chew them… they fall out of her mouth, sadly. she has better luck with the RC maine coon varieties (bigger pieces) but there isn't a senior/aging formula available in that line (yet?). but as per our vet's advice, she is supposed to be eating primarily senior/renal formulas, so i'll probably have to keep this in the rotation for now, even though she has never been able to finish a can of it

    Cats not fans

By DebC on May 1, 2021

Neither one of my elder cats would eat more than a couple of licks. One is a former feral who eats just about anything so you know this stuff must be awful

    Good Product

By Mallard on Jan 30, 2021

My.12 year old male cat gets this food as a addition to his dry food a couple of times a week. He will eagerly wait for me to open the can. He will eat every bit, leaving the bowl clean. He really enjoys eating this cat food.

Not too bad, but way too gravy

By Mino on Nov 27, 2020

My cats seemed to like it first assuming a great portion being gone, but over time they learned to suck the gravy and leave the actual food alone. It's really really gravy that I have to open 1/4 the lid and squeeze the gravy out first, then well cats won't eat it. I had high hope for this aging 12+ since it has rich omega 3 that my cats need, but seems like I won't purchase it anymore.

    Senior Food!

By kzkzk on Oct 30, 2020

I am not sure why it is so difficult to find a wet food for truly senior cats that they will eat. Most foods are for 7+ but so much changes for cats twice that age. My girl is 18, has beginning stage renal failure a tremendous appetite but finding wet food that fits the nutritional profile she needs is not easy. Prescription food is obviously not palatable and my vet doesn't recommend it because most cats won't touch it. She loves this.

Power of youth to my 17yo cat

By Sylvain on Dec 28, 2020

My 17yo (soon to be 18yo) cat suffers from bad arthritis. After feeding her the aging 12+ (half of her diet) for 4 months, she starts moving and running around again.

Royal Canin Aging 12+ thin slices in gravy is good news for senior cats

By Mamacita on Dec 1, 2020

This canned cat food is soft and tasty and accepted by otherwise "picky" senior cats, many of whom have dental issues. It has a fine aroma with a lot of gravy. Even younger cats go for it.

    Kitties loved it!

By Jackpot on Jan 14, 2021

Used this for my two “older” ones. They both liked it. I just wish it came in either larger cans or more quantity
