Royal Canin Small Puppy Dry Dog Food
Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again.
Small dogs need more than just a small kibble. They need more energy than big dogs, and they have a shorter and more intense growth period. Plus, they typically live longer than large dogs, and have a more finicky appetite. Whether we’re talking about their bodies or their lifestyle, small dogs are a little bit different from the rest of the canine world. Fortunately, Royal Canin Mini is distinctly different, too.

This is only a guide. Optimal feeding amounts may vary according to your pet's temperament, activity level and environment. If you have any questions regarding your pet's health, please contact your veterinarian.
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
How are Royal Canin diets preserved?
All of our dry diets are preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols, citric acid, and rosemary extract. Our canned diets are naturally preserved and sterilized during the cooking and canning process.
Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?
We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain by-products?
Royal Canin chooses ingredients because they deliver high-quality nutrients that support our customized pet food formulas. Using chicken by-product meal instead of chicken meal for example will allow Royal Canin to maintain its highly customized nutrient standards while achieving a more secure and sustainable supply.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain grains?
Grains can be a healthy part of any cat or dog’s diet. As always, we focus on the nutrients each ingredient provides and grains can provide many important nutrients.
How do you ensure Royal Canin diets are safe for my pet?
Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way.* We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase.* We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food.* We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers.* We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.
How do I know which Royal Canin diet is right for my pet?
Based on size, age, lifestyle, and breed, each cat or dog has unique nutritional needs. For healthy pets, use our Product Selector to find the right diet for your cat or dog.If your pet is experiencing health issues, please refer to your veterinarian for more information. Your veterinarian will consider multiple factors when recommending an appropriate diet.

Mugsy Inhales This Food!
By Tmat on Jan 17, 2021
We switched our last dog, because of food allergies, to “Royal Canin” Duck & Potato, which turned out to be an excellent choice. I figured Mugsy, our Bichon Poodle mix, should try RC’s Puppy Chow because he didn't care for other dry brands, and he wouldn't eat until them he was starving. I was surprised to see the RC brand cleaned out of his bowl first thing in the morning! I believe that I’ll stick with Royal Canin for my dog!

Excellent Puppy Food
By Burb on Dec 31, 2020
My puppy has been eating this food for over 2 months. He is consistently gaining wait and growing. Vet is extremely happy with his progress. Food is easily digested. Will continue with this brand once he’s ready to go to adult food. Side note - order food separately from treats. My bag of food was packed on top of my treats which were then crushed.

Royal Canin
By Tudi on Dec 8, 2020
I think this is a great puppy food. Both my poodle and Shiz-tue puppies love this food. Its a smaller kibble and they love it. It actually smells really good. It's much healthier and my puppies were having problems with diarrhea on regular Purina Puppy chow foods. Now their tummies are in good shape. It may cost a little more , but if it helps prevent problems and give them both a longer life without having to see the vet for health problems its much worth it. I highly recommend.

Bought the wrong food
By Barly on Jan 4, 2021
I ordered puppy food instead of dog food haven't given him any of it yet hoping it won't make a difference when he does run out of his other food and we have to open this new bag. He loves Royal Canin and he'll soon be eating it the way he loves to eat.

Yummy food
By Speedy on Dec 21, 2020
I purchased the puppy kibble to use when training my Dachshund. The smaller kibble allows me to treat him more thus advance his training. He loves this kibble as he does his other Royal Canin with larger kibble. Ordering the smaller kibble was my professional dog trainer's suggestion.

Our puppy loves this
By Meeshyw on Jan 1, 2021
I tried this brand in the recommendation of our vet. Our puppy loves this and it’s a good size. Very interesting that they seem to be almost the slightest bit easier to chew and they have a scent of toast so I think she likes that too

Once you start autoship - you cant ever stop!!!!
By autoship on Nov 8, 2020
When I thought I cancelled the autoship, it apparently was simply to cancel that transaction. I am so frustrated - I have 2 large bags of this food already and now a third on its way. The royal canin wet food that I feed them has been discontinued and they don't eat much of the dry stuff. It will last through the next year. STOP SENDING!!!!!!

Elvis loves his new puppy food, Royal Canine, from Chewy.com. The kibble is just the right size and easy for him to chew. Fast delivery is another plus.

Puppy loves this!
By KeiB on Nov 15, 2020
I tried other puppy food such as Purina Pro Plan, Nutro, and wet food options from Purina Pro Plan and Royal Canin. My puppy either had wet stools or did not finish the other options. She loves this one though! No problems since we transitioned her to this food. Thanks chewy for the speedy delivery :)
