This Royal Canin formula is designed exclusively for pure breed Yorkshire Terrier puppies from 8 weeks to 10 months. The Yorkie Puppy grows quickly over a short period of time. Throughout its lifetime, the Yorkie Puppy can be a picky eater, so palatability is crucial to ensure its acceptance of a food. Since the digestive tract of a puppy is not fully developed until he matures, it is important to provide a food that supports healthy and gentle digestion. This is why it's important to feed a diet that is tailor-made to their specific needs.

This is only a guide. Optimal feeding amounts may vary according to your pet's temperament, activity level and environment. If you have any questions regarding your pet's health, please contact your veterinarian.
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
How are Royal Canin diets preserved?

Where do the ingredients in Royal Canin diets come from?
We select our ingredients based on multiple factors, including the supplier’s compliance with our quality and food safety requirements, consistent availability, and on the nutrients required to meet the dietary needs of the pet.Royal Canin is making strides towards sustainability by attempting to obtain sources of raw materials as close to each manufacturing facility as possible. In some cases, we use international suppliers, because only those suppliers can offer raw materials that comply with our quality and food safety standards.
Why do some Royal Canin diets contain by-products?
Royal Canin chooses ingredients because they deliver high-quality nutrients that support our customized pet food formulas. Using chicken by-product meal instead of chicken meal for example will allow Royal Canin to maintain its highly customized nutrient standards while achieving a more secure and sustainable supply.

How do you ensure Royal Canin diets are safe for my pet?
Our Quality and Food Safety systems are state-of-the-art and we continue to invest heavily in new technology to make sure they remain that way.* We put our suppliers through a rigorous selection process that doesn’t end with our first purchase.* We monitor every load delivered to our plants to verify the safety and quality of the ingredients we use to make pet food.* We perform tests on finished pet foods before they are shipped to our customers.* We manufacture every pet food we sell, in plants that we own; our plants are ISO 9001:2008 certified for Quality Management and ISO 22000 certified for Food Safety.
How do I know which Royal Canin diet is right for my pet?
Based on size, age, lifestyle, and breed, each cat or dog has unique nutritional needs. For healthy pets, use our Product Selector to find the right diet for your cat or dog.If your pet is experiencing health issues, please refer to your veterinarian for more information. Yorkshire Terrier Puppy Dry Dog Food
By Puppy on Feb 21, 2021
So far, my puppy loves this food and eats it over the food the breeder gave us to to feed her. I am glad because now all my dogs will be eating the same brand.

Our Yorkie Poo puppy loves it!
By Lulu on Nov 12, 2020
Our 4 mos old Yorkie Poo puppy loves it. I mix it with the The Honest Kitchen Grain-Free Chicken & Beef Whole Food Clusters Dry Dog Foods, but those clusters are large for her, so I crush them up. I then add a little warm water and top with a bit of minced carrot. This seems to help with the teething, etc...and to fill her up.
