Royal Cat Boutique 32-in Cat Scratching Post, Neutral

My 8 y/o has had the "saddle" type observation decks since he was 9 wks old. We moved and I made a hasty decision to throw away one of them and regretted it ever since because the full 'saddle" ones I could not find, just the "half saddle". He is too big for a half saddle!. I gave up, disappointed in ever finding this one. I am so happy no that I found this! It's perfect! And good quality!

I bought this style cat perch/scratcher many years ago and my current 2 cats fight over the old one in the bedroom, so I figured let's buy a 2nd perch for the living room. But it was sooo difficult to find one in this style! I am thankful to have finally found this. I'm very happy the seat & base are a gray color. It is pretty high which is a good thing for placing this next to a window for cats to lay & peer out. Height also provides more sisal for the cats to stretch up while scratching as mine do. Plus the sisal seems more solid on this piece in that it's one piece rather than the loops of sisal you find on other trees/scratchers that cats eventually unravel. Though I haven't had it long enough to fully judge how it will hold up yet. But all-in-all, this seems like a well made, sturdy piece. It's a bit pricey, as I find most cat trees are, but I knew it to be an item my cats would actually use in which case it was worth the investment.

Our cats LOVE this scratcher. It's always occupied by one of the cats taking a nice long nap. They enjoy curling up in a ball or stretching out while feeling hugged by the curved edges. It arrived pre-assembled which was a surprise! Highly recommend!
