My two cats enjoy lounging on the top perches. The vertical and horizontal scratching options as well as the choices between sisal and carpet have something for both. My only irritant is the carpet ‘sheds’ a great deal, leaving fibers all around the floor. Maybe that will lessen over time. I liked that it came assembled although I’m still dealing with the very thick (hard to cut to recycle size) carton it came in. One bottom corner was dented, damaging that corner of the tree base.
