We had to use the cone of shame
We ordered this for our dog to keep from licking after neutering. On it's own it wasn't any help, nor was the cone. Our poor guy had to double up with the pillow and cone. It's not ideal but this did work for restricting enough to allow the cone to be semi-effective. Even with both he was able to reach and lick stitches open which extended the healing time 😭
Not great
Around the plug, the thing leaks. Not ON the plug, but the seam around it where it actually attaches for the air to go in. Not happy, was expecting better quality. Worked good until the air leaks out in 2 hours
Better Solution
These inflatable collars work much better than the hard cones. They are easy to put on and keep on and don't stick out like the cones so there's no bumping into walls. We've used these for 3 different dogs now, and they all seemed fine with them as soon as we put it on. They seem to enjoy the collar like a built-in pillow when laying down to nap or sleep. Being inflatable, the collar can be adjusted softer or harder to keep them for licking yet also be more pillow-like. Most of all, they look quite cute in them!
