While I don't believe toys should be rated on the dogs willingness to play with them, I cannot determine quality without that happening. Spending over 20 bucks on a toy that my dog will not touch, well that's a serious bummer. Although it might just be my dog , just like people they have preferences but my dog does not at all like this toy. He'll chew on just about everything and has destroyed every toy I've purchased that's why I bought this one but it just figures the one you be had a chance of not destroying, he will not touch like at all. It's a pretty heavy toy and appears well made I will say that but can't say much other then that.... sorry chewy I would've left a rave review if he had. Hopefully others have better luck.
I ordered this on a whim because I also have the donut shape and they seemed to like the texture of the rubber of that toy so I tried this one when it was on sale. They all LOVE IT and my young malinois carries it around everywhere and even sleeps with it, it's his absolute favorite toy. I have 3 malinois, a german shepherd, and a pitbull and one of my mals is a serious power chewer and it seems to hold up really well. The power chewer doesn't actively chew on it like some of her toys so it's hard to say if it's more durable, but it still looks basically brand new and they all carry the thing around constantly.
We went through two of these back to back. I let Chewy know of the first one and they without questions sent a second. I thank Chewy, but the toy is not for strong destroyers.
This is a great product line. The toys are as advertised. My Staffordshire Terrier and Doberman just adore them. Ordering a few more. I only hope the company does not start using a lower grade of quality like so many others are.... to save on cost
My lab loves to swim. This toy is his favorite to fetch. He also can not destroy it.
Well 'indestructible' is put to the test against my two labs and labs won again. These lasted about 10min before my boys have split the ends. I was excited by a company that backed up their stuff with a 'lifetime guarantee' however learn from my mistake - the company expects you to foot the bill shipping them the damaged toy (in my case 2 big ol toys) to get a replacement. In this case it'll cost my at least $10 to ship these out, so instead of being out even more $ for something that lasted less than 24 hours, I'll just chuck them.
This toy is heavy so there are probably dogs who don’t enjoy it. It is not a toy I would use for fetch/catch games because of the size and weight, but my extreme chewer Belgian Malinois loves it. After a year it is well used and close to needing to be replaced, but still intact. Most toys last only hours to a few days.
We have 2 pitties and one is 11yrs old. We have tried every brand under the sun and he always finds a way to tear a toy to pieces. Not Ruff Dawg. We swear by the brand. GREAT FOR "SUPER CHEWERS" This one (regular) is a tad big but I think if it was smaller he'd find a way to destroy it.
Finally, a toy that our dog can't destroy. I highly recommend!
I have 3 PitBulls that absolutely LOVE toys and chewing them up. One of my Pits is a strong chewer and has something in her mouth just about 24/7. I bought this toy and not one of my dogs want anything to do with it. It's very heavy which might be one reason. But, even when I shoved this toy into one of my dogs mouth, she just dropped it and walked away!
