Ahh wanted to love it but even the smallest size was too big for our 6.5 lb chi and he was jsut peeing on himself inside of it

Per the Ruffwear size chart and the response from their customer service rep, she's a medium. If she were white and just looking for a lightweight cooling system, this might work, but I needed something to also shade her black coat and reflect. I ended up buying the large ruffwear vest in the other non-zip style. It's longer and it absorbs/holds more water. [See other style review]

I’ve got all Ruffwear gear for my guy - life jackets, other cooling vests, etc. Unfortunately, despite the measurements provided in the sizing chart for this item, the large did not fit my guy AT ALL. I could barely zip it, which made my dog look like a can of busted biscuits. Given the other complaints about zippers breaking upon first use, this wasn’t even a consideration to keep. I’ll be sending back and sticking with my older, heavier cooling vest. I did like the idea of a thinner fabric, but is what it is.

She didn't drink as much water on the hike, and was much bouncier at the end than she is after a hot day. BUT today, the zipper started pulling away from the vest, and I'll need to return it and get a new one. Not a good sign! So I can add photos

Covers his wee wee
So the concept of this is great and I was really excited to get it got my German shepherd coonhound great pry mix....but it covers his wee wee so he is super uncomfortable
So the concept of this is great and I was really excited to get it got my German shepherd coonhound great pry mix....but it covers his wee wee so he is super uncomfortable and then can't urinate on our walks. I've tried folding it up to get it out of the way and it only helps for a short time and then it unfolds on its own. I'm going to have to pay someone to make alterations to it I guess. They should come up with a better design for boy dogs
