This 4-ounce bottle contains 120 milliliters. For cats and small dogs, give 1 milliliter per day. For medium sized dogs (25-50 pounds), give 2 milliliters per day. For large sized dogs (50-100 pounds), give 3 milliliters per day.

Can I put the RX B12 into my cats wet food.

Answer by ChewySep 01, 2021
The Rx B12 can be mixed with either wet or dry food. This is the preferred way to administer the product. It needs to be given with food and not on an empty stomach.

Does this supplement require a vet's prescription?

Answer by ChewyAug 21, 2019
This supplement does not require an approval from your veterinarian. However, each pet is unique so we encourage you to seek professional guidance to select the best products along with their current health.

Can you give this through a syringe and not on food? My cat don’t mind taking stuff on a syringe. I didn’t know if it needs diluted ??

Answer by ChewyAug 04, 2021
This supplement can be given orally through a syringe. It is best given with food or around a meal. Like all vitamins, it requires food in the stomach to ensure proper absorption and utilization. It can be given concurrently with other medications as it will not contraindicate or interfere with the efficacy of any drug. It is a water soluble vitamin. The bottle does not require shaking.

I suppose the color doesn’t really matter, but I found it kind of weird, and you certainly can’t disguise it in food. I tried mixing it with wet food, with broths and bisques - no matter how much I tried to integrate it, she won’t touch the treated food. Groan. And the dropper is sort of fiddly, difficult to get a full 1ml dose into it. I ended up using two half-doses, but you shouldn’t have to do that. Luckily, Chewy was very understanding and refunded the cost. Bottom line: it may be a fine product but it didn’t work for my situation.

I wish it wasn't bright red since I'm afraid it's going to stain my clothing one of these days! It smells really strong and weird but my cat ate it, mixed in with his wet food (rabbit). It's more affordable than alternatives. I find it difficult to suck up 1 ml at one time for some reason, but there's a measure mark for 0.5 ml so i do that twice.

Trying this instead of B12 shots by the vet

I don't know if it's the taste or the dropper squirting into her mouth, but she's not a fan. Smells a bit like bacon or something smoked.

We have a senior dog and for two years I've been working with chewy trying to find something that he would like to eat he's lost so much weight he's been to the vet so many times he's just an old dog and he's picky he can't see very well and he can't hear very well and he's been on heart medication now for probably 15 years when we found him he was a stray and he had heartworms which caused a murmur but we couldn't find anything for him to eat that he would be interested in eating-well this has helped he won't take pills he stopped taking pills a year ago so now all of his medication is given to him through a syringe no needle on it just the feeding syringe and I gave him 1 ml of this B12 once a day for 3 days and it has been a miracle worker he is running around like a new puppy he's eating so much that he's just like a little piggy we have seen such a good difference and him that now we're going to get some B12 for us we're too old dogs too and we thought if it'll help him that much and we have done everything from organic to just grass-fed beef I mean we've done everything and chewy's been working with us for a couple years this B12 has given him a new life and it's given us just watching him do so much better a happier life. From the second day that he was getting this and I was giving him just that one milliliter once a day and he's a new pup so I love it and I can't say enough good about it

We have a picky 18 yo and he loves this supplement. It really helped him stop litter eating and no need for shot from vet. He is so picky and loves this.

Great Product

Cody was getting B12 shots every so often at the Vet when his Veterinarian suggested this product. She said it works great and he can take it every day.
