Works wonderfully!
This brush works great to snag all of the loose hair in my DMH coats. We alternate using this and a metal slicker brush (the Miracle Coat brush, which is also amazing) and we have gotten a TON of hair off our cats. Making this into a weekly routine (it should be more, but life gets in the way) has drastically helped reduce the amount of hairballs we have to deal with. We have 2 cats that love being brushed and 1 that doesn't, so she gets churu sticks to entice her to stay still long enough for the brush to work its magic. She tolerates this brush better than the metal one!
Short-Haired Multi-Species Must-Have
Not only do our short-haired cats LOVE this brush, but so does our English bulldog.
Our biggest cat has dry skin & dandruff. This brush is one of his favorites for a loooooong brushing session to really be worked over, and it seems to help with the dandruff.
One of the other cats is super sleak & silky, so her fur often doesn't "stick" or catch effectively in other brushes. This one works wonders for her as well.
The bulldog sees this brush come out and bowls anything out of the way to come get brushings as well. It also works SOOOOO well as a bathtime shampoo scrubby brush for him.
One potential con, depending on your pet: I think the rubbery texture is a maybe bit too grabby & pulls at our long-haired cat's fur a bit. She doesn't care for it, but that’s not really a defect of the brush so much as it is her preference - because it gets fur off of her too, when she tolerates the short-nubbed side. She's also particular about her grooming, so again, not holding as a point against this brush.
In fact, as I'm writing this review, I have a second brush in my cart, waiting to check out.... might add a third. I haven't seen these for a while, and I ecstatic to have a spare or two!
Excellent pet groomer
I took a chance on this and I’m so glad I did. My cat is a short hair Tabby and she doesn’t like wire grooming brushes or combs. This is soft but very efficient. The long bristles grab loose hairs and the shorter ones on the opposite side will help collect them. Be prepared to see a lot of hair!! My cat is actually staying put now because it’s also a nice massage for her.
it looks like a good brush
but kitty won't let me touch her with this. i'll keep trying ever so often to see if she changes her mind.
Not What I Expected
Although the material on this massager is great for their skin, the fur gets stuck in the "brush" and is extremely difficult to remove. Additionally, their fur (I have 2 cats) "flies" all over the place. Too bad. I had high hopes for this......

need. LuLu has never enjoyed brushing, which as been troublesome as she is a lovely, long haired calico.. At 21 years (!!!!) old, with cysts all over, she likes it even less. The brush side is really effective to detangle and not too, too terrible for her, though she takes every opportunity to bite it. She does enjoy the massage side. It calms her before each grooming and is especially calming on her head when the grooming is completed.

Kitty didn't like it cause she's old.
I'm sure she's just finicky. She'd probably enjoy it if she weren't so old and cranky and skinny. Cat should have lots of fur and some weight.

great for deshedding
Amazing brush. I love how gently u brush and it gathers so much hair.
