Good brush for specific purpose

So, I am a groomer and needed a very specific brush for back brushing. This brush works really well for that, but I cannot recommend it for anything else. It tries

So, I am a groomer and needed a very specific brush for back brushing. This brush works really well for that, but I cannot recommend it for anything else. It tries to be too many things and therefore doesn't do any one thing well. It does not brush it mats, but the pins aren't long enough to be good for really long coated dogs. It is hard to clean out the hair without breaking the safely pins on top. Cannot recommend this brush unless you are a groomer specifically looking for a gentle brush to use to back brushing.

This brush is comfortable to hold and does a great job with grabbing loose fur on your pet. The plastic beaded tops are gentle if they touch the skin. It’s pretty easy to clean, but the smaller bristles do tend to hang on to fur even after you clean it. I have a skittish dog who can be difficult to brush, but this is the only brush she loves which makes grooming so much easier!!

Best For Medium Hair

Eh not great. More of a finishing brush or for a quick smoothing. For my 5 month old Golden Retriever, who has thick fur, but not yet long, it worked okay. But for

Eh not great. More of a finishing brush or for a quick smoothing. For my 5 month old Golden Retriever, who has thick fur, but not yet long, it worked okay. But for my adult American Eskimo with thick and long fur, it didn’t do much of anything. I usually get brush full after brush full off the Eskimo with a metal pin brush, but the pins on this are too short and flexible to reach the undercoat on a long-haired dog. As a finishing brush, it is good for smoothing the hair and shine.
