How big are the gaps between the bars?

This says it’s 41” but then says it has 2 panels and a gate. How big are the panels?

This gate includes 2 panels and 1 gate door. It adjusts from 35.4 to 87.7 inches wide. You can make it as long as you want by extending the gate with additional sections, for example, if you want to close off a bigger area or a fireplace. Sections can be purchased separately.

Does it attach to the wall? How?

The extra tall flex is secured to the wall with wall attachments. The mounting plates are screwed into the wall. The screws provided are only intended for fixing into wood. If fixing into other material, use appropriate screws and wall plugs.

The safety gate has a maximum opening of 87.8 inches. It features a double-locking handle opening from both directions. This gate was designed for indoor use only.

This is very well made. I bought the tall safety gate plus two extra panels to keep my German Shepherd puppy in the LR for her first year. I subsequently moved to a home which did not need it because the rooms have doors (and I crate her overnight). I can vouch for how sturdy it is and the fact that despite being 65 pounds she never tried to jump it but I doubt she could have. If you have a great dane I don't know if it would be tall enough, but for almost all large breeds it's plenty sturdy.

I have a golden retriever who is able to jump a standard size gate. I also have two other dogs who have to be confined when I’m not at home because they will pee and/or chew things like baseboards! For a long time I had a standard height playpen gate mounted to the wall with a taller dog pen zip tied to make it taller. It looked awful anc the gate was easy for my dogs to open. I was hesitant about buying this gate, but after asking a question about the security of the latch I decided to give it a chance and ordered two. I connected them together to gate off the area where they are during the day and it’s perfect. The gate is securely latched. It can be a bit difficult to fasten, but the trick is to be sure that the bottom part is in the right place while you are latching it. It was easy to install and it looks so much better than my double gate did. Very pleased!

We recently added a Bernese Mountain puppy to our family. On the second day home she climbed over the play pen we had borrowed from a friend. After reading about this gate and extension panel set up, I decided to purchase it and it is wonderful. We attached it to a wall and a corner cupboard in our kitchen/dining area and there is no escaping this time :). It's a wonderful safe space for her to be in when I can't keep both eyes on a wondering puppy!

Tall Gate!

This is my second time purchasing this Gate. It's the tallest we could find. It is very sturdy and flexible for odd angles. It was easy to install! I like that

I like that we can take it down and leave the brackets on the wall. We frequently keep my daughter's dogs and they have to be separated from my dogs. I highly recommend this fence.

I have a mini Aussie doodle who is very intelligent and athletic. Keeping her contained proved to be very difficult. We discovered at a young age that she was an escape artist. At only 9 weeks old she managed to climb an old gate that we’ve had in the past. Over the years we have gone through many gates that only worked for a short while before she discovered how to get through them! She’d jump, climb, and even paw at it at a certain angle that would topple it right over and boom she was free. However this gate I’ve had for several months now and it has worked like a charm! If you have a dog similar to mine get this gate! The only draw back is it’s not super easy to install but once you do it’s worth it.

This gate is exactly what we needed. In our household, we try to keep the dogs and cats separate, and this gate is tall enough with thin enough bars to keep the dogs in their section of the lower level of the house while keeping the cats out. It was easy to put together and install; I did it myself with a cheap drill. The latching/locking mechanism is genius and much easier to use than the baby gates we have elsewhere around the house. I like that you can latch the gate using the bottom "lip" without needing to fully lock the gate using the top locking mechanism. That makes it much easier to go in and out during the day, and our two labradoodles (35 and 25 lbs) can't hook their paws anywhere to pull the gate open.
