This aquarium stand was delivered with quite a bit of damage done to the wood. I contacted chewy and they didn't hesitate to offer a full refund. Excellent customer
This aquarium stand was delivered with quite a bit of damage done to the wood. I contacted chewy and they didn't hesitate to offer a full refund. Excellent customer service but I could tell even before I opened the box that it had been poorly handled because there were rips and tears on the outside and you could already see some of the damage prior to fully unboxing it. I suppose it's not chewy fault that the delivery vendor handled it so poorly. But chewy stood by their product and offered the refund without hesitation. This is one reason I really like shopping on chewy. It's a display aquarium and when the stand looks bad it deters from the overall esthetic of the display. I'm using spackle and black paint to do repairs and still plan on using it.
Cheap product
Cheap boards, parts that don't line up perfectly, I added 8 small metal brackets to certain areas to reinforce the product. Only after adding the bracing do I feel

Only after adding the bracing do I feel comfortable putting a tank on the stand. Would probably return it but I have a unique sized tank that I can't find any other correct sized stand for so I will make this work.

Chewy says they are going to give me a full refund and told me how to look for reviews. If I had done that, I would have tried purchasing this utter garbage.

There is a single round hole at the top of the backside. The cabinet sits on round plastic discs, serving as the legs. You do not see this on the photo. The paint on the corners and edge chips very easily during the installation. There is one shelf that you can adjust the height inside the cabinet. Quality of the material is mediocre which matches the pricing.

I did this sort of thing for a living, writing technical manuals and training, so I can attest to how poorly the "instructions" are illustrated (without any text to speak of). That being said all items were marked correctly so figuring out what goes where isn't terribly difficult if one has the sort of conceptual mind so required. It's really figuring out how the hardware sets up that is the most poorly illustrated. All that being said, and considering as mentioned my background, it still took over an hour for me to assemble it by myself. It's a decent looking stand that should work out fine to replace the old, water-damaged stand I currently have my mini-reef on, I'm just too lazy to take pictures of either to go along with this review. The one item that really irked me, as it has with other (non-Chewy) furniture that I have ordered and which was imported from the Orient, is the lack of ANY extra hardware. I also worked in supply logistics, so I know the cost of individual hardware is less than a penny each, so why can't these companies provide at least one extra of each piece? Is it Trump's tariffs? In the case of this stand the items missing were alignment dowels. Fortunately for me I had something I could use in place of them, and they aren't required for structural strength, but it would have been helpful to have the correct number if not a few extra. Ultimately the stand looks like it should work out well and the price was good. However, if you're the type with a short temper and don't like having to figure things out on your own, this might not be the stand for you!

Due to items weight more corner protection is needed to ensure safe arrival. Shippers poor handling causes unnecessary damage.

Fairly decent but is costly
