Worked great but think they stopped making it.

pieces of liter are large enough to not stick in the dogs paws The newer mfg is small pieces and therefore tracks outside the box. 2nd NATURE did not do this

I was heartbroken when Purina discontinued Yesterday’s News nonclumping cat litter. It was cheap, easy to clean, low tracking, no dust…I could go on. I tried other paper litter and they never locked in the urine smell like Yesterdays News did. I even tried the clumping formula but it tracked EVERYWHERE. Finally I found a solution. The pellets are larger but still same consistency as the nonclumping Yesterdays News. My cat didn’t have an issue switching to the larger texture. Please don’t discontinue this one too! It works so well as cat litter!

No training

I had high hopes that this may be an acceptable method for our little pups. The description and bag states to visit their web site for a downloadable training booklet for acclimating to dog litter. None is to be found, and customer service said they do not have one for the dog litter, only training information for cats with cat litter.

Bought this for my 8 week old puppy cause i was using pine pellets, but was afraid she'd eat it and get sick. She was using it to potty mostly. Got this and she would not potty in it , instead she wanted to chew on the pellets. So I decided to leave the pellets alone and diaper her and take her out occasionally until she gets used to outside and gets her second round of shots. Not for her at all. I will end up donating these to a pet shelter along with other pet stuff not being used.

This is how I trained my dogs to use the litter box indoors. I have been using Purina dog litter almost twenty years now. What a blessing not having to go outside, especially when it is cold or rainy to potty. I use Purina Dog Litter and this doggie litter pan. This setup gets the dogs used to using the litter box and then you start expanding their area...like running around in kitchen only. Then if they're good in the kitchen, add another room, etc. I bought everything shown here from Chewys... litter box, dog litter, pillows, feed bowls & kennels. Dogs usually won't pee on their pillow, so this setup trains them to use the litter box. Reward them with treats when they use the Box. The trick to successfully litter box train your dog, is to start in a small confined area and then gradually expand it. I started out with pee pads on top of the litter, but now they only use the litter!!

My puppy was used to these pellets at the breeder’s, so I had some ready when picking him up to bring him home. He will only poop if he sees and smells the litter, and we have not had any poop accidents all week since! They really control the odor and do not need to be changed after many many uses. We put a paper napkin on top of the poop to avoid puppy stepping on it by mistake, and when cleaning up, all the dirty pellets are llifted with the poop, so cleaning up is a breeze. Definitely recommend these!

I started using this for my 12 week old Havanese puppy (4 lbs) and he took right to it. No problem. Then we brought another Havanese (1-1/2 yr old) (10 lbs) into our home and she used it with no problem. I have an extremely sensitive nose and this product doesn't bother me after it's in the potty tray. It does bother me when it's time to change it which is every 2 weeks. My dogs also go outside. The reason it bothers me is the uric acid from the urine. This happens at about 2 weeks and it's time to change litter. Maybe if when the dog has an accident, you could a little of the urine in the litter so they smell it and usually will pee over it.
